Dr. Costa and the rest of the staff at Oakton Animal Hospital are the very best!!! Kind, courteous, and knowledgeable. They graciously help me with my challenging and poorly behaved rescue dog. I travel from Elmhurst because I trust the doctors and staff at OAH.

I have had cats all my life and have been to many, many vet offices in that time. None of them even come close to the compassionate, top rate care Dr. Ephraim and his staff gives. From the minute I walk in with my 4 cats, I am greeted by my name with warmth, the cats are equally made welcome. Dr. Ephraim takes great time and care examining my pets and makes sure I completely understand what he is doing and why. If there is a problem, he presents all sides to me and does tell me about the costs associated prior to doing anything. He keeps up with all the advances in pet care and is very well educated and experienced. I probably pass 10 other vet offices on my way to Oakton Animal Hospital and even though they would be closer for me, I never, ever would think about going anywhere else. My cats are lucky we found him.

I have been going to Oakton Animal Hospital since about 1986 and have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Ephraim and his staff! Dr. E. takes the time to explain everything, gives you options, and makes it comfortable to make decisions about our pet's care. His staff is always friendly, and great with our pets. Our ten year old dog Mo has been seeing the caring people of Oakton Animal Hospital for nine years and we found Dr. Ephraim is one of those rare people who truly has a life long passion for the care, respect and protection of animals. The first time we met him we knew this was the vet for Mo as he is honest and open about all options of care with detailed explanations to make us understand Mo’s needs. Whenever we enter the hospital, it is always clean and smells good. Mo can be a skittish dog, but the quiet and tranquil atmosphere makes him happily step on the scale first thing in the door. Being we bring him in approximately 6-7 times a year for his nail to be clipped, twice a year for shots and other regular check up issues and several times due to his allergies, he willingly goes in the back with the staff when necessary or into an exam room. We are always informed on how long procedures will take, receive reasonable bills and most importantly excellent, excellent care. If you want your dog to be expertly cared for in a nuturing manner, Dr. Ephraim and his staff are the people for your family. Addition: We recently took in Sugar, a white daschund, and also bring her to see Dr. Ephraim and his great staff. She has been treated just as well as Mo and my family cannot be happier with the quality of care and the professionalism of the staff. I am impressed how the staff can put my cats at ease immediately. One cat (10 YO neutered male) had a urinary blockage, and the Doctor gave me several different approaches to resolving the problem along with the costs and risks to each option. It was nice to know what options I had and the cost / risk of each. I was able to pick an option that resolved the problem at a cost that was well within my ability to pay. I have never had a Vet be so honest and understand the situation from my side of the situation. We all love our pets, but we have to remember that we have to consider their quality of life. I am glad to report that Bob Cat is doing well and had a great checkup. I would definitely recommend the Oakton Animal Hospital to anybody.
