We love Dr Ohms and the staff at the Glen Carbon office. Folks always say, "Why would you choose to go somewhere where you pay higher prices?!" And I always say that I cant put a price on my peace of mind. Hawthorne has been taking care of pets in my family for 30 years and we enjoy the experience. Thanks, everyone!!!

always have excellent treatment from knowledgeable and professional staff.....love the 24 hour facility for emergency services....have been using Hawthornes since my first poodle...1968 and will always use them...

They really seem to take advantage of the fact that they are the only emergency facility in the area. When my dog was hit by a car, he needed stitches on his legs. $1200 stitches. Are you freaking kidding me? And if we couldn't have afforded it, we would have to put down our dog for a couple leg wounds? I don;t think so. But again, it wasn't something that could have been put off until the next morning when our vet opened. Everytime I called or they called with an update to his care, because naturally they had to keep him over night on IV fluids...for a minor soft tissue leg wound...they wanted to tack on more and more to our already extreme bill. If you MUST take your animal in a n emergency, use common sense and do not be afraid to tell them no if you don't think its necessary. Most likely, it isn't. Sad people take advantage like this.

Having my little doggie put down after 17 1/2 years we found compassionate kind people here. Thank you for every thing you did. Let us spend as much time as we wanted with our doggie both before and after. Let me be there with him thru the entire time.Could not have asked for more. Thank You Again!

I came to Hawthorne after numerous frustrating experiences at other local vet clinics and specialists. After spending over $2,000 on my two year old dog, I was considering putting her to sleep. I made an appointment with Hawthorne as my last effort to figure out the issues with my dog. Within a month, Hawthorne had diagnosed the issues and made a game plan on fixing the issues. I owe everything to Hawthorne for taking the time to make my dog healthy again. I would recommend them to anyone!
