Our rambunctious little one-year-old Mini-Pin is more like a gazelle who likes to leap over our four foot fence. Early in the summer he got away and was missing. The neighbor who found him was able to get his chip scanned. In less then an hour of the scan we were contacted that our dog was safe AT the Animal Hospital. WHAT A RELIEF! Recently after he hopped the fence again he hurt his leg. Dr. Rossman had us come to the hospital and took care of him immediately. Within 24 hours our baby was feeling better. Our dogs are like our children and are treated with the up most care and compassion. I would never trust anyone else with our babies.

I received a call from Avid (the microchip company) saying that Amanda from Glen Oak Vet Hospital scanned my dog "Bella" chip today 7.22.14 this morning at 9 am and that my dog was found! Great new right?! Wrong! When I contacted her less than 10 minutes after receiving the call she stated that she doesn't have my dog and the "teens" left with it. She states that she gave them all my information and hoped it was up to date. Wait what?! So instead of contacting me directly you gave whomever all my info, did not contact me, AND let them leave with my dog! On top of it when I asked her if she had any information to provided me she said "No!" They did not gain ANY information from the person who was in possession of my dog. No name, phone number, address, ANYTHING! How do you walk into a vet hospital and NOT gain any information about the person in front of you? SHE THEN STATED I SHOULD DO A BETTER JOB OF SECURING MY DOG! ARE YOU SERIOUS?! Obviously I was emotional at that moment and told her that i needed to end this conversation. Now how do you come into possession with a dog, scan a chip, and not verify the owner?! Isn't that the point of the microchip?! I'm upset with the unprofessionalism and lack of empathy. Her tone and rudeness is beyond what I would expect from a VET hospital. At this point all I can do is PRAY for the best outcome of my Bella.. Anyone with pets understand the bond and emotional relationship that is created when you are a pet parent.

Had a excellent experience here. I made a call to schedule an appointment and I was very surprised that they could get me in that day! Great service from the phone call to walking in the door to seeing the Dr. Was very impressed and will bringing Casper the Wonder Lab back here for all future Vet needs.

The best phrase to describe Glen Oak Animal Hospital is “Caring Professionalism.” My girl is an adopted rescue from an abusive owner. She was very nervous around men. At her first meeting with Dr. Rossman he took the time to allow her to become accustomed to the atmosphere, spoke to her softly, and gave her a treat. In very little time she allowed him to pet her and was soon licking his face. In any other encounter she would have been afraid. Somehow, through his unhurried manner, she sensed that this was not a threat. Going to the office now is ‘a visit to a friend’ and no hint of her previous apprehension is displayed.

We have been seeing Dr. Ashley for several years with our two dogs. One is sturdy and never has any problems, and the other has quite a complicated medical history. Dr. Ashley is always friendly, thorough, and very knowledgeable with managing our pets health. At our previous vet's office, we always saw a different doctor each time and felt like we always had to start from square one with medical histories. Dr. Ashley recognizes us and our dogs at every visit, and has been a wonderful resource for us and our dogs!
