We have taken our pets to Lake Zurich Animal Hospital for over 25 years and would go no place else. The care our pets have been superb over these years. Dr. Pritkin and his staff are top notch and very dependable. They really care for the animals they are treating and will do most anything for them. We would highly recommend them for your pets.

Dr. Pritkin diagnosed my domestic with diabetes. He was so caring and concerned for her well being. He helped me get her regulated and was very honest about treatment, expense, her quality of life, etc. I love his atmosphere; it's very homey and Lexi enjoyed walking around in front the fireplace and watching people out the floor to ceiling windows. Additionally, he recently neutered a cat that was given to me. Everything went off without a hitch. No issues. Very happy with him. Would definitely recommend him.

Wow. Other businesses - veterinary or not - can definitely take their cues from Dr. Steve. I walked in for 9:30AM appointment and I was actually greeted warmly with a SMILE. Good luck finding that unless you are staying at the Four Seasons. The appointment was scheduled so that my time in the waiting room was brief. In fact, I did not even have to sit down. I received dedicated attention from both Dr. Steve and his veterinary assistant, Elena. I have found that some doctors are very stand offish and condescending. I found Dr. Steve to be the opposite. He is very congenial. And, he answered all of my questions with a genuinely friendly and sincere disposition. I found Dr. Steve to exemplify both integrity and trust. And, after the appointment, I placed a call to a friend to tell him where he needs to bring his dog. There are gems and there are treasures. Dr. Steve is the latter.

Just out for money. Orders treatments that are not needed. My dog has beautiful white teeth. He wanted to do a teeth cleaning! My new net said she does not need any teeth treatment. He charged me $250 for an ear ultrasound. My dog just had an ear infection. Went to another vet and got treatment.

I have a soon to be 6 year old Italian Mastiff. He isn't in the best of health and has a few genetic issues such as chronic ear infections, stiff hip and elbow joints and what amounts to puppy acne. This vet has been so helpful! Other vets have made us come in for everything. When my dog has a flair up, this vet allows us to simply call in a request for medicine saving us the expense of a needless visit. They have been quite honest and open about what medicines we need and which ones aren't essential. They have been most accommodating in every reasonable way. When they aren't swamped the are more than willing to make small talk and engage us. When they ARE busy, they still take the time to be cordial and polite. I'm not sure what some people expect from a vet but I don't pay them to be my friends, I pay them to treat my dog with the utmost professionalism and they do that without exception.
