I absolutely love this place. The staff were very friendly on the phone making my appointment and also when I brought my cat in for a check-up. Dr. Maxwell was extremely knowledgeable and truly loves his job. After the check-up and blood work, Dr. Maxwell called me and explained my cat's condition for over 10 minutes on the phone, never rushing me and making sure he answered every question I asked. I would recommend Dogwood Pet Hospital to anyone! Thanks again Dr. Maxwell.

We took our rabbit here for what we thought was seizures. Was told it was an ear infection and the rabbit was prescribed medicine. After our 120 dollar visit, we figured they knew what they were doing and that this would help the problem and eventually fix it. However after a week things were only getting worse and the episodes our rabbit was having were becoming more prominent so we took him back only to be given more of the same medicine and to come back in a week. After coming back the third time we decided to leave our rabbit there for a few days. We dropped him off in his carrier and were on our way. After getting home we noticed urine stains on his body blanket and in the carrier. When we called to find out if he was kept in the carrier the whole time we we're told that "he wasn't in the carrier the whole time but he was ALWAYS hiding in it and had to be taken out. Which to me means yes he was in the carrier the whole time but we're not going to admit that. Ever since the last visit though he has had a respiratory infection. Which we think was caused by keeping the carrier in there and him sitting in all the ammonia from the urine. So now instead of a cured rabbit we have a rabbit with the original problem ,and a breathing problem. I can no longer afford what im guessing to be 3 medications so we're probably going to have to give him up to the shelter in hopes they can save him. Dont get me wrong the'yer nice people here but I'm honestly not so sure they truly know what they're doing. I honestly feel like they could have done a better job and don't feel as if i received my moneys worth out of the care and treatment that was provided especially when the doctor says they don't know what else to do and only for us to have to give him away because he has more issues then he started with . They may be good with cats and dogs but with our rabbit"exotic" this was not the case. Two stars only because they're nice

We've been going to Dogwood since May of 2011 and we absolutely LOVE it! We have a three year old boxer, Chuki, who does not like to go to the vet. That's putting it nicely. Dr. Sarah has taken the time to really work with us and our pup so that going to the vet isn't the end of the world anymore. We trust her judgement so much. Chuki has skin problems which have been hard to get under control, and Dr. Sarah is there every step of the way, helping us get to the root of the cause. We wouldn't take Chuki anywhere else!

Dr. Maxwell is excellent, he takes the time to explain issues, causes, treatments and costs. He calls and talks about lab results, the staff is also amazing. If you are looking for a great place to take your pet, this is the place and the kennel is a great place to board them also. A convenient place to get to with a very pet friendly parking lot.

My dog sees Dr. Peters and I am very happy with her. She is very friendly and explains everything well. He has also gone to another doctor on an emergency visit and he was nice as well. Everyone at the office is nice and I would recommend this veterinary office.
