My dogs have been frequent fliers at Four Paws for many, many, years - and without a doubt I'd recommend this facility to anyone! Throughout the years they have upgraded their facility but that is just the part you see - the part you feel is the genuine caring of the staff - and the unwavering support of the doctors. Dr. Jessen has seen me through many a crisis - and overall number of dogs is 14! Dr. Jessen has done everything from spaying to an emergency surgery to remove a corn cob blocking anything from going in/out of one of the pups. We've always been able to get appointments, the hours are extended for outside of normal working hours, and the boarding convenience is outstanding. I highly recommend Four Paws! They are professional, courteous, kind, caring, and best of all their expertise is unparalleled. Military discount is a plus!

We have been taking our babies to Four Paws for almost 10 years. We have always been satisfied when we leave there knowing that our pet has received excellent treatment. We have seen all the doctors and like all of them. They really care about our pets. When we lost one of our girls due to a long standing illness, they were very kind and considerate. Will continue going there for as long as we have our babies.

We have been going to 4 Paws for a long long time. The staff is great the vets are awesome. We drive from Ferguson MO to take our 4 legged kids to see Dr. James Jessen, he is the best. We have had him as our vet for at least 15 years. We would drive twice the distance to get the care and professional spot on service we get at 4 Paws. By far the best Animal Hospital around. Worth the time, miles, and money. You want the best for your spouse and kids. These folks are the BEST for your pets.

My dogs see Dr. Bedard and recently one of my dogs had to have surgery because he was obstructed. Dr. Bedard did a wonderful job and my baby dog is feeling much better because of her excellent care! My dogs love Four Paws Animal Hospital!

Once upon a time this vet hospital was smaller, friendly, and actually CARED about its customers. Now since they have expanded and they are cold and robotic in their customer relations -- they have gone completely downhill in the customer service. I have come to this vet for over 7 years ....with a cat, and 3 dogs. We've had everything from puppy boosters, to annual checkups/rabies, to spay/neutering surgeries done here. I even boarded my new puppy here last year .... and there were MANY times it was busy there, because they overbooked the schedule, etc. But I still went back because I like the quality of the vet/docs. I wasnt actually dissatisfied until this year when I had an issue with one of the vet techs withholding info from me regarding a vaccine. I was told by the office staff that it is the "customers responsiblity to ask all questions to the tech related to vaccines" ...in this case, how long the vaccine would last. I had told the tech I was going out-of-town in 6 months ... and she said NOTHING. I was under the impression that most vaccines last 1year, unless stated otherwise. I was also under the impression that the Tech was the expert, so she should have told me that vaccine wasnt a yearly vaccine. This is in regards to the Bordetella vaccine. I was going out of town in 6months (and 5days) and the tech gave my dog the vaccine. I later noticed on the paperwork that the vaccine covers my pet until a certain date, which is 5 days BEFORE I leave for going out-of-town. Four Paws tech should have told me that vaccine was only a 6month vaccine. The office manager was no help either - she said that the tech didnt have to tell me the shot was only good for 6mo's - and that I would have to pay again to have another vaccine to cover my dog for the time I was gone (and I was intending to board my dog THERE). That was like kick in the head. The mgr was completely non-accommodating too ... like "too bad, it's your problem" type of attitude with me. I was pretty ticked-off,... because I am a longtime customer, and because I think they should have told me all the facts, and because I have spent A TON of money with them over the years! FYI: FourPaws is the ONLY ONE of 7 area vet hospitals that has a 6month bordatella vaccine (I later called around to ask HOW LONG IS THE AVG BORDATELLA VACCINE?) All of the rest of the vets I called have vaccines THAT LAST 1 YEAR and are the SAME PRICE OR CHEAPER than Four Paws charges for it's vaccine that only lasts 6months >>*remember - the Four Paws tech won't tell you it only lasts 6months. Because it's not their responsibility to do that. You are supposed to ask.* This is all really a shame though ...because the vet doctors are very good ... but the office mgr and techs are NOT customer caring. So - BYE, Four Paws! I'm going to a Vet now who cares enough to tell me all the facts about my pets care :|
