Dr. D -- Best Vet Ever! Karen B, Norridge, IL

When my cat was sick, I took him to three different vets. The first, at Touhy Animal Hospital, had no idea what was wrong. The second, Wright Animal hospital, thought he might have had cancer, but wasn't sure, and we paid for a very expensive ultrasound that was inconclusive. Then we went to Dr. D and she figured out right away what was -- severe gum disease that required his teeth to be pulled. After that, he was fine, if toothless! I had her put another of my cat's down after he got kidney failure, and she was full of compassion. She even gave me a hug afterwards. She is very sweet, and knows what she's doing.

by Joleen 03/31/2010 I think Dr. Dimperio is wonderful. I first saw her for my dogs constant ear infections and multiple different vet visits, antibiotics and money. I took my dog to her and she suggested a different approach that the other vets never did: Allergy testing (which I thought was crazy). After receiving the results and following a specific diet my dog has not had another ear infection in 3 years. Last labor day weekend my dog appeared lethargic, red eyed and wasn't eating or drinking. I took him to an emergency vet and he was held overnight. I picked him up, a $1200 bill later and he looked just as bad. I took him to Dr. Dimperio and she assessed him, gave him a Cortisone shot (Feeling he may have been bitten by a Bee) and within 30min her was running around my yard. The next day he was eating and drinking his eyes were clear. She also called the other vet to reimburse me the $$ it cost her to fix my dog $200.00. She also called me the day after the visit to see how he was doing. Nothing but praise for her and her staff....
