Without reservation I give Dr. Heneghan, Dr. Fox and the rest of the employees at Elmwood-Grove Animal Hospital my highest recommendation. My beloved dogs have been cared for by Elmwood-Grove since I brought them home, and they have received the best care possible. I trust Elmwood-Grove 100% to do what is necessary to ensure the health and welfare of Henri and Hugo, and I never worry about them doing unecessary extra things or overcharging me. I have called the hospital for urgent or emergency issues, and I always receive prompt return calls. In an emergency, the answer is always "bring them in and we'll take a look." The hospital is clean, the staff very organized, and they do their best to get you in and out in a timely manner. I have also boarded my dogs there for short stays and the dogs come home healthy and happy.

We have had many pets and many vets over the years, but Elmwood-Grove is by far the best. They're not cheap, but their caring, personalized service is outstanding! For example, when it was time to say goodbye to our sweet girl "Sammi", Dr. Heneghan offered to let us bring her after closing, so that there would be as little stress for her as possible. She put blankets on the floor for us, so that we could sit with Sammi as the sedative took effect. My wife and I held her, said our final goodbyes, and she passed away peacefully in my arms. The whole experience, though very sad, was also very beautiful. I've never had any other vet go to such lengths to see that the loss of a beloved pet was made just a little easier for the "pet parents". Thank you, Dr. Heneghan.

This review in no way reflects Dr. Heneghan or Haynes or the front desk staff My dog just had a dental done here and even though I was given a quote THREE times (once by Dr. Haynes herself) we were charged an extra $60 for an exam without being asked or told. Our dog just had an examination in July and they even scanned the paper work stating so. Dr. Haynes realized the error and tried to fix it but her boss, Dr. Fox, said if the dog didn't get the examination done there it doesn't count......? What really happened was that there was a billing/communication error and he didn't want to give us our money back. Well it's the last dime he'll see from us and the rest of our large family.

The people there are wonderful and Lauren is the best person to be greeted by EVER! I unfortunately will not be going back. I took a day off of work to make an appointment that was reserved a week prior, and was told to come back another time because the Dr was leaving at 11am. Maybe a lack of communication was at fault, but at the end of the day I lost a days pay for nothing.

Found out in the internet that my dog was diabetic after spending almost $500.00 at this location, and the worst part was that not even a blood test was perform. This vet should know what was wrong with my dog when i told them that my dod was drinkink too much water and loosing weight rapidly.
