As usual this emergency clinic was top notch in service and customer satisfaction. I have used them a few times over the years and have always been pleased.

Very friendly staff members, although their phone skills could use improvement. They were very responsive to my Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppy, who had gotten into some bad plants and was poisoned. Were very thorough with after-care instructions and they even called me a few days later to see how he was doing :) The visit was pretty pricey but was on-par as far as emergency vet visits go. Remember to go around to the back entrance for after-hours care; that's something that's hard to remember when you're freaking out that your furbaby is going to die D:

My Greater Swiss Mountain Dog had gastric distress this past Monday evening. I knew this was a serious, and unfortunately not uncommon, situation with Swissies. We took him to Emergency Vet Services of St. Charles. The vet and staff members were WONDERFUL -- knowledgeable about the condition, and very compassionate toward the humans involved. The surgery was 12:30 - 1:30 a.m., and I got a courtesy call when it was over to let me know all went well. He was not quite ready to come home after a day at his regular vet, so he stayed with EVS the next night as well. He was cared for SO WELL -- I highly recommend them if you have ANY type of pet emergency. We were ALL cared for in a great way! After 4 days, Maverick is almost back to his wacky self -- we are so thankful!

I believe they killed my cat. I will say that i'm a licensed vet tech. I'm not working now, i'm a stay at home mom. I had never been to this hospital before. I had neither heard good or bad things about it. My 13 year old cat was brought in for respiratory distress. This, of course is a very dangerous situation to begin with. I told the vet if she was more comfortable keeping my cat in an oxygen chamber for an hour or two if needed to get her stabilized for a radiograph and bloodwork then please do that rather than rush through it. Just minutes after my cat was taken in back the vet came back to show me the xray. It didnt look good, as there was alot of fluid in my cats chest. Again, within minutes of the vet showing me the xray she had to run out of the room because my cat had apparently crashed. Minutes later she came in to tell me my cat died. Now, i will say that my poor kitty wasnt in good shape. BUT! Being a CVT, i also know that you need to make sure the cat is as stable as possible BEFORE rushing off to radiology. Xraying a cat in respirtory distress can be deadly. Why couldnt they put my cat in O2 for longer? Why not get a catheter in before xrays, so if she does crash you have instant venous access for emergency meds? Theres just too many questions about why they didnt do this or that. They seemed rushed to get her in and out (even thought they werent that busy that time). Unfortunately, she got in quick and left in a cardboard box. I should have followed my gut and brought her to Arboretum View ER. All of this was just one big mistake and we lost our swet kitty because of it.

Called last night when my dog had an allergic reaction and broke out in hives. The woman who answered the phone was very nice and took her time to ask specific questions. She then informed me my dog’s appropriate Benadryl dosage & advised me to wait an hour and to call back if there was no significant improvement. My dog’s hives calmed down, he slept through the night, and is doing great now. I really appreciated the time she took to assess the situation & saved us from an unnecessary trip to the emergency clinic. Now all I need to figure out it what caused him to have the allergic reaction.
