I was running low on money, so didn't have many options as far as taking care of my kittens ear mites. I called around to check pricing and the Southside vet clinic gave me the cheapest price- $50. So, the following day i took my kitten in. The vet there was not very personal and to be honest, was quite bossy. She listed all the things i needed to have done and tried to add these additions to my tab that very day. It was obvious that they were milking me for my money. In fact, when i refused some of the treatments, the vet went and printed out 2 options for me. One that was $80 and one that was $150. Like i said, i came in expecting to pay $50. When i told the vet this she said oh no, you have to pay for an exam, too, and i already did that. No one mentioned this cost to me before hand and her exam only included weighing and looking at my kitten. They then took her and didn't tell me what they were doing. I could hear her crying through the door. They brought her back to me with very sticky and smelly ears. Whatever they used to clean her ears was not thoroughly cleaned off and didn't actually clean her ears well at all. I was very disappointed with the service there and the way they tried to take control over my animal. Today i took my kitten to Curtis Road Vet to get spayed. I am much happier with this place.
