We've been to many vets, but we genuinely trust Dr. Jeff Bloomberg to care for our only daughter "Bam-Bam". He treated her like she is his #1 concern. Which is important to us. Bam-Bam does not get all kinds of vaccine like she used to at other places. Just only the necessary ones.

Our beloved 13 year old poodle named Frankie became extremely ill so I called the hospital and I was told to bring him in 2 hours,I was not happy to wait but fortunately Dr Bloomberg called back and told us to come right away.When we got there we were seen right away and after examining Frankie Dr.Bloomberg told us our greatest fear that Frankies condition is serious .Frankie has been progressively less active,sleeps a lot and his oral intake was poor and sometimes vomits ,He also started to have a bothersome cough that it almost takes his breath away.The night before he suddenly can not walk anymore.We told Dr.Bloomberg due to Frankies' progressively declining health we would like to let him rest. My husband who has been retired spends more time with our pets and understandably was beside himself but everyone was so sympathetic.We were given time to be with Frankie I even went home to pick up Mandy our other poodle and Frankies sister.We had time to thank Frankie for the joy he has brought to our lives in a very personal environment.Dr.Bloomberg explained what he will be doing.He sedated Frankie and during this time he was in my husbands' arms.When Frankie was really sedated the final injection was given and we watch Frankie take his last breath.This unhurried environment and the bonding time we all had at the end allowed us to view this experience of letting go less painful even if our sadness was beyond words.There was an air of sadness among the staff when we came out of the room after Frankie was gone this says a lot that they care and they will miss our Frankie also. Two days ago I went to pick up Frankies' ashes and the young woman was also sympathetic.Thank you to Dr Bloomberg and all the staff ." It is easy to share with ones'happiness but it takes special people to share ones' sorrow."

The docs and staff at S.V.H. are awesome! I should know…I used to work there! It was the best job I ever had. I have the utmost respect for the doctors Bloomberg and Dr. Melanie Murphy. I worked side by side with them for nearly 4 years and witnessed some amazing things. From fantastic surgery skills to expert diagnosing, this veterinary team can do it all. Their care and attention to detail is beyond compare and every client that brings their pet to S.V.H. can expect nothing but the best for their furry/feathered/scaly family member. Dr. Jeff and Dr. Katie were the best people I’ve ever had the privilege to work for. I believe that how employers treat their employees is a good indication of the kind of people they are and there’s no body better than the Bloombergs. My life’s circumstances forced me to move 800 miles away, otherwise I would still be there. I loved my job and the docs and techs I got to work with. Five stars is suppose to be an excellent rating, but that doesn’t come close to describing how I feel about these wonderful people.

Thank you all for taking such good care of our dog Buster. The entire staff has always been so pleasant and helpful anytime we needed anything. We would especially like to thank you for being so caring and making the very difficult process of putting Buster to rest a bit less painful. Dr. Katie and Kirsten- we especially want to say thank for being so kind to Buster (at that time and always). We know that Buster felt genuinely cared for at all times and he fell asleep gently with love and dignity, thanks to you. We couldn't have asked for anything more. The animal world is lucky to have people like you in it.
