I have never been this happy with a vet before! All the staff are friendly, welcoming and patient from the time you walk in the door. Dr. Williamson is the most patient and caring person. He will answer all of your questions honestly, in a way you can understand them and very compassionately. He understands the emotions involved in the decision making process as well as the science of it. My cat has very bad reactions to vaccines and also has extreme anxiety when going to the vet. Dr. Williamson gave me options for my cat's care, told me the pros and cons to each option and then left the decision up to me. My parents have now moved their cat's care to Companion and couldn't be happier there as well. I highly recommend this vet to anyone who is looking to either switch vets or have a new pet they wish to find care for!

We take our two German Shepherds here. We switched from VCH in Vernon Hills to this facility. We were referred by Reach Rescue where we rescued our 2nd German Shepherd Cody. Both Dr. Matt and Dr. Derek are wonderful. The rescue had a few ailments that were quickly fixed by both doctors. Our first shepherd developed an auto immune disease and they seem to have her under control. We love that they're open on Sunday.

I first contacted Companion Animal Hospital on a Sunday as an emergency for my cat as this hospital turned out to be the nearest animal hospital with Sunday office hours. I was pleasantly surprised when I called that even though my pet has never been to this particular hospital in the past, the vet would see us that very day. Not only did my cat receive the emergency care that he needed but the vet called us the very next day to check on the cat's condition and with additional treatment instructions. Even though our first trip to the vet definitely qualified as an emergency visit, we were never charged anything other than a regular office fee and the cost of the medication. I was so pleased with the services that I had our pet's medical records transferred over to Companion Animal Hospital the very next day.

Dr. Williamson was a great help. My dog Rico had to have a leg amputated 6 months earlier due to cancer, and just this last week I saw a new lump on another leg. So I took Rico in to Companion first thing Monday morning and Kristin and Dr Williamson took great care of her. I was thinking "not cancer again", but after Dr. Williamson took a small sample and inspected it he diagnosed it a possible infection from something. So instead of just removing it (which is what I was thinking was going to happen) shes on antibiotics first to see if re goes away. The last thing I wanted to do was to have to remove the lump without trying this first. He understands how much we love Rico and want to have the best care for her. If the lump isn't gone in 10-14 days we'll remove it, but for now I'm very happy with the approach to her wellness.

Professional and friendly staff did a great job of dealing with a very sick and very angry cat. The problem and options for treatment were explained clearly and the cat was feeling better in very short order. I will absolutely come back to Companion Animal Hospital and have recommended them to friends/family.
