Utterly disappointed. Non Stop follow up charges for the same symptoms of my dog that I have been following up with two vets within the same hospital. All they care about is billing. Calling it quits. No wonder they have new set of vets each year...

I was born on the streets of Chicago early 90's. My first owner that is was fun to test their hand speed and coordination by trying to slap my face, head, feet...without getting seriously bitten. My current owner ... well if you read, "White Fang" you know my story. These ladies at Hawthorn put up with the biting and saved my life. My brother & sister died 4 years ago from Thyroid problems. They introduced me to a cutting edge diet that is just being tested now. I'm alive, in my mid twenties and been around the block. This place is run with passion and understanding. They think I don't understand what they're saying and even caught unguarded they sincerely care for my welfare. And the cost is reasonable considering I got a rich neighborhood. Whiskers ya, i dig these people!

Hawthorn is filled with complete idiots. I am the president of a no-kill animal shelter in Wisconsin. One of our cats got lost. A Nathan Hoff found the cat and kept the cat for over a week. The cat became extremely sick and Hoff took our cat to Hawthorn to get a free check up. Now, this is where Hawthorn demonstrates its utter stupidity and complete lack of caring for a sick animal. After Hoff told the morons in Hawthorn that he found the cat, the morons scanned the cat and found a microchip showing that the cat belonged to me. The geniuses at the clinic called me to tell me that a Nathan Hoff had brought in a very sick cat who belonged to me but that he took the cat with him because he did not want to spend money on the cat. Now here is where these incompetent morons really show their true colors. I asked for the telephone for the man who had my very sick cat who was on the verge of death. The clinic refused to tell me the telephone number or tell me where my cat was. So, I called the Vernon Hills police department. The police contacted Hawthorn and again Hawthorn refused to give the police Hoff's telephone number. The genius at the police department thought it was a good idea to wait a few days to see if Hoff called me. By the time I find Hoff, my cat will most likely be dead because of the stupidity of this clinic. I WOULDN'T TAKE A COCKROACH TO BE TREATED BY THESE MORONS. THEY ARE TOO STUPID.

I have been a client of this animal hospital for over 5 yrs. Starting with the front desk girls: friendly greeting and knows my Brandy by name. Always ready to give her a treat. Dr. Krauser has been Brandy's doctor for 2yrs now and there aren't enough words to describe the incredible doctor she is. Her "bedside" manner is sensitive and friendly. Her scientific knowledge and care is not hasty. Every visit for any problem is well examined and analyzed to determine the best care possible. thanks to Dr. Krauser, my Brandy's cancer was discovered in time to be treated by the oncologist we were referred to...Brandy is now in complete remission.
