I've taken our pets to the Skinner Clinic since moving to Wilmington 15 years ago. I found Dr. Skinner to be a kind, compassionate, and helpful person as well as Vet. He took care of our pets as does the Doctors that are there now. I have no complaints. When your pets are sick, you don't want them to suffer. So you sit on a bench, so what?? The waiting room is for your pets, not you. And if you think it smells??? Then you haven't been in very many animal clinics or hospitals. The pets don't mind Why should you???? The services are very reasonable. Just take your best friend to a clinic in Chicago and see what the bill would be..... That should open your eyes.

I have gone there for the past 3 years only because it is the closest clinic to my home. The clinic is extremely small, unsanitary, and it smells horrible. The waiting area consists of 2 old wooden benches in a 10x10 ft. room with a small bathroom. I once saw the doctor go into the bathroom for about 10 minutes and when he opened the door back up, the waiting area filled with cigarette smoke. It was completely obvious he had been smoking in there. I couldn't breathe and I'm sure it wasn't too pleasant to my dog either. I also take my cat there and he is overly aggressive with her. My cat is 10 years and is very easy going. For some reason he feels the need to pick her up by her scruff violently to examine her. I have recently taken my business else where. Other than that, the rest of the staff is great there. I also think there might be a new doctor. Perhaps it's worth looking into. I might consider going back if that is the case.

My dog had demodex mange in which all puppies are born with. Normally their immune systems fight it off but our puppy's immune system was not tough enough. We took him to a local facility and by the time I left the office I owed the vet $300.00. They then stated to me that I needed to bring him back in two weeks to dip him again. I could not afford another $300.00 being that I was laid off my job so my dog went without until I found Dr.Skinner. I explained to him that I did not have a lot of money and was not looking for a vet who was going to take us for more money and needed treatment for my dog desperately. He treated him and now he is all better but does require a monthly treatment that costs a whopping $22.00 a month. I am SOOO glad we choose his establishment!

He was rough with my dog for a blood draw. My dog wouldn't let us touch him without yelping for three days. I waited a little long for him to have a cig break in the bathroom - boy did the whole place stink!
