You facilitate Jellystone Bark's at your location. They/she tried to get us to commit to a $200 pre adoption fee for a puppy we wanted to adopt. Kim said we were approved and would take our non refundable deposit in order for us to even see the dog. As soon as we questioned this she said one of the other four or five agents committed to someone else. This was while we were giving the deposit. Playing on our emotions having just lost a puppy is unbelievable. I called your hospital to give them a heads up and they told me to contact Kim. I told them Kim is the problem you might want to distance yourself from such tactics. It sounds like she has lied to me in several ways and under the guise of caring for dogs that would be otherwise killed. She has no record with bbb, yelp, google etc. just seems to be some sort of scam artist.

Took our dog in for a fungal infection in his feet on nov 4th. Gave him antibiotics. 23 days later he was hardly moving and seemed to be in pain, took him back in. they insisted we do a $200 blood test b/c she felt his liver was enlarged. Blood test came back fine 3 days later. They gave us pain meds thinking he just had a slipped disc in his back. a week later our dog was crying in pain and not moving. I called to arrange to have him put to sleep (he is old and was in enormous pain) a different Dr. said I should try this steroid in case he has meningitis. I gave it a try. Within 6 hours of taking the 1st pill he was up and about! I googled meningitis and turns out it is common for a dog to get this if they recently had a fungal infection! Really feel like one of those vets (we saw 3 different ones) should have had a clue that they could have been related and started him on the steroid for meningitis right away. Our dog seriously almost died b/c of the 2 weeks it took them to get it right. Not only that but no one from that office have even called to see if the medicine worked and if our dog is alive and well!! Switching vets.

Went to this vet after getting my cat from Petland. Its $35 for a 5 minute unexpected, and sometime unnecessary check up every time I come in.. I was told they were mandatory. One day my Cat began to vomit a few times a day and wasn't eating as much. After a few days it continued so I went to the vet worried. I did some research beforehand and suspected a stomach virus/flu. I went there expecting to get medicine to treat it. They checked my Cat and recommended I get an X-ray because she may have swallowed something. I was very doubtful but they were really convincing. There is nothing left on the floor around the house that the cat can choke on (jewelry, floss, string, etc.) I paid the $140.00 + $35.00 for the 2 x-ray pictures because that's the only way I could have know for sure if she did somehow swallow something. The X-rays came up with nothing. While they showed me the pictures, the vet began to point out something in her stomach (intestines) and suggested I have them open her up immediately (to save the cats life) & even if there was nothing, the procedure would be cheaper because it costs less to just close up the cat. She ranged the procedure be about $1,000 maybe more. But after reviewing the X-rays I was convinced she looked normal. She just has a stomach virus. A few days later she began to eat more and more and is currently doing fine with no vomiting. So glad I did not resort to opening up the cat for nothing. I would strongly recommend others to a second opinion.

I had three dogs and my cat to bring in for vaccinations. The staff helped me handle all the animals and I loved the fact that the reception area was so large. No worries about tangling leashes with other animals. The vet did an excellent job on all my animals. The cost was reasonable and I have to say one of the least stressful visits for myself as well as my animals. I would recommend them to anyone that wants great service, hours that work for people that work during the day, and a very friendly educated staff.

The staff are very friendly and are quick to answer questions we have over the phone or in person. At first I thought it might not be as efficient without appointments or because it was strongly tied to Petland but we have yet to have problems these last few months. They have reasonable prices for their products and the Vets are comforting when they are checking on my pup. I was weary that I couldn't choose my own vet for our free neuter but all worries have diminished upon meeting the staff. They also have various locations so you don't just have to travel to yorkville, but glen ellyn and another location have the same vets at different times.
