Greg McDaniel and his staff are the kindest vets we have experienced. Excellent care for our dog, Buddy.

I am EXTREMELY disappointed in this place. My beloved cat was very ill and they were unable to determine what was wrong. After several tests and many expensive suggestions, my 'baby kitten' of 12 years died. I understand that it was not their fault and we really do not know what the cause was other than liver failure. BUT....The day after my cat died, they called....not to wish condolences for my HUGE loss...but to collect $65 dollars for an additional test after I had already spent hundreds. The INSENSITIVITY they have demonstrated is heartless. I am paying the bill and finding a new vet!!!

I recently moved to Carmel and my pet cat became very ill. I called Hazel Dell Animal Hospital and they were able to get me in as a new patient within 2 hours of my call. They took excellent care of my pet. Everyone from the front desk person to the vet assistants treated my pet very well. The vet, Dr. Bassett, was empathetic to an upset pet owner and very kind to my pet. He followed up with me personally several times to check on his status. He also provided me with options for emergency care after hours and provided me with a number I could reach him after hours. I feel very blessed to have found such a caring veterinarian. I would highly recommend this veterinarian.

I have never written a review for anything before, but I have to write one for this exceptional rather new vet that anyone with an animal they love should be made aware of.... It is hard to enough to get a human doctor to care, let alone a vet - and I've been to a few. But they have managed to go above and beyond just caring and have a level and quality of staff and competence that I've never seen before. I have a cat that I am bringing overseas (moving) and anyone who is familiar with the PETS pet passport process knows it is a NIGHTMARE!! It is a very complicated, tedious, and exact process and one mistake could mean your pet either being quarantined, put down, or left behind. I was at a well known cat care facility in the city and the vet left me the rudest message , after I spent a week ordering documents, researching etc and basically doing THEIR job which I was paying for, and he said it's not that simple it isn't a cookbook recipe. Well, I had to dumb it down because neither him nor the staff tried to understand the situation,- it was like researching to be your own attorney when you are paying one to defend you. I was freaking out, as it is so time sensitive, and found this vet. It was like night and day- so kind, and they are constantly-without me having to call or email- are checking the status and what needs to be done next. They sent an email with all of my cat's results and health records after the first exam- EXCELLENT! Never seen that before! They respond to email or phone calls with kindness, warmth, and speed. It has been a huge weight lifted from the stress of this move, knowing I can count on them to make sure everything is being taken care of to the utmost standards.Also, my parents brought their cat, who has been misdiagnosed numerous times, and they ran every test- including checking for cancer which they rarely do off the bat but what our family cat died of. The fact that they wanted to rule out anything else it could be that wasn't obvious was another first. They had great ideas and they really do love and care about your pets so you can truly trust them. They are life savers!!
