My family have been talking our pets into Community Pet Hospital for 20 years. The staff is extremely competent and friendly and have save many of our pets where other veterinarians have failed.

I was absolutel appalled at how my dog was treated at this vet. I took her in for shots. First the assistant put a tourniquet on her arm way to tight and she started squealing well then the assistant started blowing in her face as if that would make it better, well it didn't then she tried to muzzle my dog even though she wasn't even trying to bite. The doctor came in and proceeded to hold my dog down roughly to give her the shots and the held her up by the skin behind her neck to check her temperture. I was like, what is wrong with you, he said she moves to much, she must be held. After all that my dog was absolutely tramatized!! He examined her for two minutes at the longest checked her ears, teeth, and butt. THAT IS IT!! Then they took us back out to the front. The assisant then rang me up for my bill and asked me if I wanted the medicines. I said what medicines? What is wrong with my dog. She said, she has severe ear infections, a fever, worms, and a parasite. Now I was really upset, I had just got this dog and thought omg she's really sick, so I bought all the medicines. $258.00 it came out to and they started her on the one medicine there. As we drive home I cried, I was mortified by it, I just couldn't process that. So I got a seconf opinion, drove out to Beecher, to a family vet my grandparents used. Guess what there is NOTHING WRONG WITH MY DOG!!! and on top of that two of the medicines that they gave me, if I had given them to my dog they could have killed her. They are NOT supposed to be taken together!!! She doesn't have worms, parasite, she didn't even have a fever. These people hate animals and they just want your money! THEY ARE SICK!!!

I took my pet here for a simple nail clipping, and the assistant wanted me to muzzle my dog. I tried to, but I never had to do anything like that before and told her I don't know how to do it. She was annoyed with me and said she couldn't do it because she is disabled. (If she can't handle animals then what is she doing there as an assistant?) So, the doctor came in upset that he had to do it, and took a rope around his nose and neck and was pulling so tight that my dog's eyes were bulging out and the rope was actually smashing his nose into his face. The woman came back in yelling at the doctor that it was too tight, that he couldn't breathe, to let go. He was saying it is not too tight, and was pulling so hard. (My dog is only 12 pounds by the way and this is a man pulling as hard as he can). He starts yelling at her to put the muzzle on, she does, and says I know you are mad but you can't take it out on the dog. You need to loosen up, he can't breathe it is too tight. So, I started freaking out saying, why are you mad, why are you mad? And he just is telling her to make it tighter, tighter. And then there was blood dripping out of his nose. I told them to stop, and let go of my dog. At this point, my dog didn't move, bark, or anything, just was looking at me. I was so upset and scared. I told them that I wanted my money back and that they hurt my dog, I've never been to a place that treated animals like this. That they didn't even need to muzzle him that they could have just put a cone on him. This was a extremelly traumatic experience.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE! RETIREMENT IS A BETTER OPTION FOR THE PEOPLE THAT RUN THIS PLACE. BUT THE TRICK HERE IS TO GET AS MUCH MONEY OUT OF YOU AS POSSIBLE. THEY ARE GREEDY PEOPLE AND RUDE! THEY TALK IN THEIR NATIVE LANGUAGE AND IT'S BOTHERSOME WHEN YOUR PET JUST NEEDS A SIMPLE FIX!
