I was recently given an elderly Tuxedo cat who has not been to a vet in years and had matted hair all over her body. I couldnt fix the hair on my own and she needed shots so I called Leawood Animal Hospital. They got her in ASAP. They sedated her to shave her and gave her the shots while she was sedated. They could have just shaved her and sent her home, but they went all out. They clipped her nails, bathed and groomed her and even cleaned her teeth. While cleaning her teeth, they found a bad tooth that had to be removed. I am on a limited budget so they worked with me on prices, which was wonderful. They care more about their little patients than making money off the owner, which is not something I have seen too often. When I came to pick up my kitty, they talked with me for a long time about her experience there, her condition during sedation, and they even showed me pictures of her which they took during her stay. They even showed me a picture of the bad tooth they found and explained everything about what happened with it, the name of the condition, and why it had to be removed. The exceptional care that my cat received at Leawood Animal Hospital is something I will not forget. I will be recommending this place to everyone I know and will always take my cat here in the future.

I took my cat here a while back after being recommended by another pet owner(servant). The vet wanted me to drop him off for the day to run a few tests under the guise of a normal consultation cost but came back to a near $500 bill. I was told that he 'found something bad' but wanted to get a 2nd opinion and that I would get a call in the next day or two. Three days later I call asking if there are any updates but the vet was not able to take the call and I had to leave a message with one of the assistants. This continued for three weeks. He never took one of my calls or called back. Finally after I started calling every day, he called back and said that he wasn't able to find any issues. I basically got a $500 bill and zero results
