I have been going to Blackbob Pet Hospital for years now. The front desk staff is nice to me and gets my dog checked in and out quickly. I have done my research and other than Arbor Creek which have outrageous prices, Blackbob is expensive in the Olathe area compared to some other places. Dr. Meyer is wonderful and very personable. Dr. Whiteacre is younger but very knowledgeable and did a wonder job on my dog's mouth surgery. Overall, the care my dog receives is always exceptional.

They are dishonest and untrustworthy with your pet. Pet owner's beware!!! They fed my Great Dane 3 cans of food over a 3 night/4 day stay then lied to me about what happened. Records of his stay that came to me via fax 24 hours earlier differed from the records on file with them. If they don't have any problems forging records to make them look like they did the right thing then why would they have issues mistreating your pet and lying to you about it? To top it off they charged me $3/day to give my dog a pain pill the he thinks is a treat. This after spending $250 for a 90 day supply that I bought from them!

I never thought it would be possible to love a veterinary clinic/pet hospital, but I love this place! I've heard people say they think the prices are higher at "animal hospitals" compared to "veterinary clinics" but in my personal opinion, the prices here are VERY reasonable. Every time I go there they walk me through every item on the bill to make sure I understand it and to show me there are no hidden costs. The same goes for services and procedures that my dog needs in the future - they walk me through their "quote" so I can know what to expect and make my decision... and then they've never charged a penny over what they've quoted. Of course, what really makes this place are the doctors and nurses. Every single one seems genuinely happy to work there and genuinely interested in everything about your pet, whether it be their health or just the most recent silly story you have about them :) I highly recommend this place.
