listen to the other reviewers, and do not take your animals here. My puppy broke her toe late Saturday night and we took her to the closest place that was open Sunday morning. This clinic was completely unprofessional, unfriendly, and completely unhelpful. We were one of two patients in the entire clinic and we were there for nearly an hour for them to tell us that her toe will heal on its own and dismissed with some antibiotics and pain killers. We had to talk to the front desk person who asked us the same questions as the tech, who didn't relay any information on to the vet. We ended up telling the same story three times and catching the rest of the staff up to what was being done. We could also hear them gossiping in the hallway about us. This is the worst clinic I have ever been to, and I have no intention of coming back. I will also be taking my puppy to her regular vet the next business day, due to having now read the other comments about their unreliable diagnoses.

Went there on a sunday because my dog needed stitches and our regular vet was closed. My dog needed stitches but they weren't going to do anything about it unless I agreed to pay for a $600 surgery. So i just went ahead and got the antibiotics and took her to our vet the next day. He told us that she didn't need surgery and all she would have needed was stitches and he couldn't understand why they would say that. Unfortunately it was to late for her to get stitches so its going to take longer for her to heal. Needless to say that will be the last time I go to stonehouse! There is another place to take your animals if your vet is closed on sunday and thats the Emergency Vet on 29th street in topeka. Would have went there but didn't know they moved at the time and thought stonehouse was our only option. Thank goodness its not!

This is a good place to take your pets. They are caring and wonderful with your pets.

Excellent pain management and great techniques to keep my animals comfortable. This defines the staff and doctors at Stone House Animal Hospital. The dogs love their time there, even when we go in for a regular visit. The cats also don't mind one single bit. The technique Dr. Carder uses when giving shots means the cats don't fret and complain when getting shots at all.
