I just moved out to Metairie with my family and our very old arthritic Lab. I was so concerned about finding a new vet who would be as understanding and kind as our old vet in Mississippi. I called to make an appointment at Pet Care Center and scheduled with Dr Erica. At first I was hesitant because I have had men for vets before. I was quickly put at ease. She was so helpful, my dog loved her and she even had some new options for his arthritis, and he is feeling better than ever. The place is beautiful and the staff is nice. I also thought it was priced reasonable for the city.

I took my dog because he wasn't eating and looked sick. They did xrays ($75 each) and decided he had eaten something that was stuck and probably needed an operation or he could stay overnight and they would "watch" him. The doc acted insulted when I asked about the price. The overall price was to be $380 and we left a $200 deposit. When I went to pick them up they wanted $640! I complained and explained I had been given a different price. Also, they tried to give me the bill on 2 different sheets. I told them I wanted 1 bill, and sure enough some things were double listed. They had done additional xrays without my permission. They finally knocked it down to $560. These people are all about the money, a total rip off.
