Dr. Kidder and the entire staff at Southeast Veterinary Specialists are nothing short of AMAZING. Our poodle has a chronic condition that is incurable but we're managing it. Anytime we've needed them day or night, they've been there. They have become almost like an extended part of our family. The level of care our girl receives is outstanding and their staff is awesome. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I called this animal hospital on a holiday when my vet was closed. Explained my dog had taken 200mg of Rimadyl and was unfamilar with the drug as it was not his. I got a rote script of how they don't provide advice over the phone. And whined on about liability and their risk. I explained I was just trying to understand what the drug was and the possible impact. He wouldn't budge in helping. So I hung up. Contrast this to MedVet who immediately told me to hold so she could ask the doctor. Came right back with a very thorough and clear explanation of why he needed to be seen and the risks. Night and day service and reassurance.

One BAD APPLE spoils the bunch! Vet Lynne Snow has a TERRIBLE bed-side manner, VERY Sarcastic, argues with the customer and has NO EMPATHY. Charging a customer to re-bangage a cast she re-bandaged the day prior that caused the puppy to hurt on a 2.6LB puppy is ridiculous! The puppy was in a cast with bandaging for two weeks and didn't have any problem until she changed the bandages. And why was my dog drugged? She wasn't drugged the day before when she did it! SO MAD! It's hard to believe when you pull into this two story, new and beautiful animal hospital that they "have to charge you for the materials used regardless". Funny thing is Walgreens sells everything I see on her leg for a fraction of what you charge. SO SAD TO RUIN THE BRAND AND MAKE THE GOOD PEOPLE THERE LOOK BAD.

My dog has a chronic condition and I have had to get emergency care for her. The two times I have brought my dog to this facility I felt confident that she was in great hands. Both vets that assisted me were educated on my dog's disease process and helped educate me. I think that it is appropriate to receive info on an estimate sooner rather than later. Emergency care is not cheap and you need to know what you are getting yourself into. I called multiple times when my dog had to stay overnight for treatment and each time I called I had someone on the other end of the phone who was professional and answered all of my questions. I greatly appreciate the care my dog received from this facility and will continue to bring her here in the future.

I really want to thank each and everyone of you for writing a review. Because of your reviews I didn't want to take the chance so I didn't take my puppy to this hospital...and I'm so glad I didn't. My regular veterinary referred me to them. I found South Paws located in Mandeville. They had really good reviews. I thought it was a little far but. It was worth it. Dr Robert Edwards was really great. We took our puppy Rex because he had stage 4 patella luxation. Dr. Edwards explained everything to me and the price. He was straight forward with the outcome..He was really great with Rex. We knew he was gonna need surgery. I left Rex there Thursday to have surgery Friday. They kept me posted all day Thursday. They did the surgery Friday.. Dr. Edwards and the staff kept me posted all day. He came home Saturday. He showed us the x-rays and and explained everything again. I am so grateful that I did make that choice...I have never seen a doctor so caring. To us it was worth every penny we paid for our puppy. Thanks again for your reviews!!! oh a friend told me be glad I didn't send him to Southeast, because her sister took her pet there and the outcome was really bad.
