We were appalled by the treatment we received by the staff. Their behavior is simply inexcusable. We dropped in to inquire about adopting a dog. The older woman at the front desk looked us up and down as though we were criminals. Their incessant questions about keeping a dog on a leash were tantamount to the scolding of a 5 year old. It's really sad when good people who would make great doggie parents get treated like that. When I read the reviews by other people who had similar experiences, I felt compelled to respond. I would expect to walk into an animal clinic and be greeted by animal lovers-this usually means people lovers too (e.g., kind). Everyone treated us horribly and I concur that this is the LAST PLACE you should come to seek treatment for your pet or any other service until the board of directors makes change. We should have read the reviews before coming there.
We bring all of our pets (two dogs and two cats) to Southern Animal. We love their dedication and honesty. The prices are extremely reasonable, and they are very honest with you when it comes to treating your pet. This is not your typical vet experience, where you will be suckered into paying for unnecessary procedures. We completely trust their judgment, and that is why we keep coming back!
Great place to bring your pet. I've found it to be one of the more affordable clinics. Its hard to go wrong Uptown, New Orleans considering two of the best kitty n pup clinics are next door each other. Brian always keeps the place looking really clean which is a nice touch to the neighborhood. Thanks Southern Animal Foundation for all of your great services! Appreciate it.
We Love SAF !! We have been coming to Southern Animal Foundation for 8+ years now and have always received the best care for my pets ever! The staff is kind and attentive; and the Doctors are caring, informative and truly educate you on your pets issue and remedy. I cannot speak more highly of the friendly environment, caring bedside manner, and veterinary professionalism.
This place is terrible. Their staff is never in a good mood and are extremely rude. They do not offer advise over the phone, let alone tell you what is wrong with your pet. We had been going there for year now and the last 2 visits were sub par. Not sure if they have just changed the staff, or if they just hate working in an animal clinic but they definitely do not belong working there. When I went to pick up my dog, they told me nothing was wrong but managed to rack up a bill of $250.00!!! Sent me home with unnecessary pills and when we asked to speak to the vet, he didn't call back until we had already gone to pick our dog up. TIme to find a new place. DO NOT GO HERE!
