I have brought my cats over the years to see Dr Cousins, and he and his staff are great. they told me what was going to happen and explained all the charges to me, you are greeted with a warm hello, and a good by, and a phone call to make sure all is fine with your cat. thank you again keep up the great work you do

I've edited my review to reflect my last experience with them as I will NEVER go to them again. My older cat was sick. Dying actually. Not only did they give me false hope for her recovery and gouged me for over $1000 but they also sent me home with her even though she had not ate or drank in days. I spent the whole night awake watching my cat laying still and crying in pain. I arrived at the Cat Practice at 7:30am the next morning hysterical and confused as to why they would have sent me home with her. The doctor was called in early and never admitted fault in his decision. Their response: There was no one here to watch her overnight. My mistake was thinking they care as much as they claim to. They care about money. That's it. No one should have to watch their pet dying especially when the vet was visited that day. Ridiculous.

It was my first time visiting the Cat Practice on Magazine St earlier this week and I found it to be a pleasant experience. The front office/retail staff offered to give me a tour of the building and I couldn't turn it down. They have a nice variation of retail products that are selective to your feline friends. Picked up two great new toys for my cats. An alligator and snake packed with that good stuff. They couldn't be happier with my choices. Down the hallway, there is a large in-wall keeping area for the boarding cats that are up for exercise. I didn't look at the workmanship on the wall mounts, but everything looked safe, secure, and fun for my two Bengals to bounce around. Thinking back, I didn't see any selection of available cat food, so that might be considered being added to the floor for customers to know they have options. My wife and I will most definitely be using these nice folks for our boarding needs when we move to New Orleans. Thanks for the great experience!

The vet looked like a young Morgus the Magnificent and was pushy in selling us the latest products, tests and treatments. After declining the laundry list of recommendations he insisted we have our bengal cat tested for feline leukemia. We got the test, then got home and found out that bengal cats are the only breed that is immune to feline leukemia. $72 RIP OFF!! The ambience was nice, but you'll pay for it one way or the other. I can do without the ambience... my cat didn't notice.

I usually don't review but do read others', and I thought I should give an honest opinion from my point of view: I am married,no kids but (several) cats, and I take them to The Cat Practice. I have had them groomed and I have been very satisfied. They don't have a "groomer," it's the techs/assistants who do it, and sometimes it's better than others depending on who does it. Here's the thing: They are wide open about everything they do. You can tour the facility, the receptionists are always friendly and professional, and the doctors give you all kinds of options and info, and best of all: estimates. Do you want a vet to tell you what they recommend or not? Anyway, I love this place. Are they perfect? no, but pretty darn close.
