They make sure that any animals that they adopt out will be going to a good home. I love that they thoroughly screen potential adopters!

This place is excellent. They SAVE dogs and cats. They take in as many as possible and hope for adoptions. I could only adopt one dog. Wish I could do more. Please adopt if you can.

One thing that people have got to understand is that Pet savers is a RESCUE; it is NOT a parish regulated shelters. Pet Savers absolutely has the right to refuse any animal as they are completely over-run with other animals that they are trying to find homes for. Rescues are completely volunteer run and their space is very limited as they do not kill; on the other hand, animal SHELTERS do not refuse any animal, and the animals that are surrendered are most often put to sleep, again, due to limited space. In our dealings with Pet Savers, we have had so much luck finding homes for stray and abandoned cats and kittens in our area, due to them so wonderfully cross-posting on Facebook and sharing them even though they did NOT have to. We are grateful to them for what they do. You cannot judge this place just because they cannot take every animal in - they do the best with what they have, and they are so good at it. Thank you PetSavers! I don't care what the others here say. We are so blessed to have this place. They love animals and do EVERYTHING they can for them. I got my beautiful puppy from here (who I've had for 10 months now), and I did not get her easily. They are selective, which is a wonderful thing, because they just want what's best for these animals, and so do I. They simply don't have enough room to take in every animal who needs a place to stay, but they surely do their best. I'll always give them my support!

My Hubby and I sadly have to move and no one allows pets every place we looked no pets or the pet deposits were high 500 per pet. We have 3 cats and we cant take them with us. We were looking for a no kill shelter in hopes that someone will adopt them and give them love. They told us they were full they told us to check back in a few weeks we did and they were still full. Called back 2 weeks later and they same they are full.They knew we had to go soon and time was running out .We called this weekend again and was told they had some kind of virus going around and had to put down some of the pets and in order for them to take them we would have had to spend 75 per pet to get the needed shots so they would be protected from getting this so called virus. I am upset because I was willing to give them a monthly donation to the shelter to help feed them until they were adopted. Now we had to take them to animal control because time ran out and no one wanted to take them.They told us that they will do there best to get them a home but there is no grantee that they could be put down. I am upset and just did not know what else to do. they are at the shelter on montie in Shreveport la snickers, precious , and peppie I hope they find them a home. I am torn up that pet savers could not take them they kept giving us excuse as to why they could not take them they knew we were having to move and he called them 2 months in advance. I am sad that it had to be this way.
