Ok this is the worst place ever.... I board my dog here for 3 nights and 4 days for the first time. My dog came back with fleas (keep in my mind my dog never had fleas). So, I called the place and a woman told me a dog who was previously boarded had fleas and they clean the Kennel. So, they told me to bring my dog back because they can get rid of the fleas at no charge, which I did . Next, thing you know the vet called me and left a message and said my dog came with fleas...I tried to call him back but could not get in touch with him to tell him he is a lie, and that they need to get their story straight. If my dog had fleas when he came in (which I know is not true) they would have told me that after they check him to make sure he was ok. Also, when I went to pick up my dog. I waited for 20 mins to speak to VET (because they said he wanted to speak to me in person) and he never showed up. So, ok they did get rid of the FLEAS at no charge, but now he have FLEAS sores and I hate to see my poor dog in pain, so if his sores doesn't clear up I will have to take him to another VET and pay more money because of something they did. JUST BEWARE and if you are boarding your dog here please ask questions....I will never go to this place again.

Dr. Calahan rescued my dog that I adopted from his facility. She was taken great care of while in the care of his boarding staff and their very nice boarding facilitiy. All of the staff and other doctors have given so much love and care to her. I will most definately be sticking with this vet.

Dr. Calahan and the staff at South Shreveport Animal Hospital were very helpful and profressional. Excellent service and warm and friendly customer service. I have a pitt bull mix and they treated my dog with love and compassion. I would highly recommend the South Shreveport Animal Hospital to anyone.

This sorry doctor abused my animal on the table in front of me just because it was a pit bull. He had his assistants slam the dog down to the table and rammed a muzzle on my dogs face. The then proceeded to be rough with my dog saying, "the dog is only struggling because it does not want to be here." He then allowed my dog to leap off the table and land head first into the wall. My dog has never acted aggressive, tried to bite anyone, and has been an angel at every vet we've ever been to. Dogs CAN sense evil people and Dr. Calahan is one!
