Since 2002, we have been taking our pets to South Shreveport Animal Hospital. Dr. Calahan has provided outstanding care for our dachshunds over the years to include a calico cat we adopted about 7 years ago. My wife and I have been very pleased with the quality care our pets have received. They have great facilities and the staff is very helpful whenever we've had questions or needed assistance. Highly recommend them!

Dr. Calahan rescued my dog that I adopted from his facility. She was taken great care of while in the care of his boarding staff and their very nice boarding facilitiy. All of the staff and other doctors have given so much love and care to her. I will most definately be sticking with this vet.

Over the years I've used several vets in Shreveport and I don't plan on looking for another since I found Dr. Calahan about six years ago. He takes great care of our dogs and is very thorough when examining them. Just recently I found a dog on W. 70th street that had been hit by a car. At first I didn't think that the dog would make it. I called Dr. Calahan and he told me to bring the dog up there to see what was wrong. To our relief it was only a broken pelvis, and after a week at South Shreveport Animal Hospital, "Lucky" now has a great home and Dr. Calahan charged us next to nothing for all of the hard work that he and his staff put in to caring for this little pup.

Dr Calahan is an excellent vet that really takes his time with each patient. I have taken my pets to him for years and would not think of changing vets. They have a great kennel too...like a pet hotel.
