The thing I like most about Delta Equine is how they truly care about the animals they see. I have taken my animals there for preventive care, life saving care and to say goodbye when their time was at hand. Dr. Larry has always shown great compassion...even meeting us there on his day off when it was time to say goodbye to our beloved Tommy (English mastiff). From the receptionist to the techs, to the Vets, they all treat you and your pet with sincere compassion. They saved my Noble's life when he became very ill after eating something off the beach and the cost was very reasonable! We are so grateful to them all! Yes, I highly recommend Dr. Larry and Delta for your pets care!

I was concerned about my mare's soundness due to a tendon injury, and an equine osteopath who had noticed a potential problem with Fancy's hip suggested a veterinary check. While she seemed fine for light ground work, when I began to ride her after the 4+ months of rest, I wanted to be certain that she was fit for more strenuous exercise. I was able to get an appointment quickly with Dr. Appleton. He gave Fancy a thorough physical exam-did not suggest x-rays or other diagnostic testing. He watched her move at a trot, checked for any tenderness/soreness all around. He described the hip issue as an old injury that wouldn't affect her, and after taking plenty of time for his assessment, pronounced her sound and ready for workouts. I am a one-horse owner who rides for pleasure and some competitive trail challenges. Prior to this visit, I have been several times to the clinic with my daughter and once for my own mare, and I left knowing that I could expect courteous, professional service from the doctors, vet techs, and office staff. The cost of the services I have received from Delta Equine Center has been very reasonable and each time I left, I felt I had gotten my money's worth for expert service. If you have a horse health issue, don't hesitate to make the drive to Vinton.

We have numerous rescue dogs,a cat, a house Yorkie, and two new additions 1) a Nigerian dwarf goat and 2) a Nigerian cross Pygmy or Pygerian goat. Our family is new to goats and one of the vets at Delta Equine Center is experienced with, and keeps goats as pets himself. In addition, we have relied on Delta Equine for various emergencies involving our house cat when he was attacked, and what we considered emergencies with our house Yorkie. There has never been a time when we were not promptly scheduled or told to come on in. We are happy (and secure) knowing we have such dependable veterinary service close to our rural area. Animal emergencies seldom happen, at least for us, during "business hours". In addition, the facilities are very well maintained and CLEAN. The staff is friendly and helpful. Nor is our appointment rushed, in other words there is never a feeling that I'm being herded through just to get to the next (cha ching!) appointment. And, I have never felt pressured to obtain services, or buy products I did not ask for, or don't feel I need. I think you will be very pleased with Delta Equine Center just don't let the name fool you. We don't even have any horses.

I went to Delta because the person Igot my puppy from used them. I have been very pleased.they have given Coby good care through an ear infection . They also have mailed me his heartguard so I didnot have to make the trip backover there. The personel are always welcoming and polite, I am very pleased with their care and treatment. I highly recommend them.

This is the only vet i take any of my animals to no matter how big or small,, No Matter the problem. Great Doctors. Caring. They dont tell you what you want to hear they are very straight forward an they are not near as expensive as many competitors close by. I would rate them 5 plus stars!.
