Sumi, our Shiba Inu, came up lame this morning. I took her in as an emergency because she couldn't put her right front leg down and things looked like they would only get worse if I waited for an appointment later in the day. On arrival, we were promptly taken in as a non-life threatening emergency with a weigh-in and temperature taken immediately. Within 30 minutes , Dr. Ortiz was able to see Sumi for an evaluation and saw her limping around the treatment room in obvious pain. We focused on her right elbow as the problem since this had happened once before over Labor Day weekend. Dr. Ortiz felt a popping in Sumi's elbow as she was manipulating it. We decided to have it xrayed, but when we took Sumi off the treatment table and put her on the floor, Sumi's was able to walk normally! The Xray was normal and Sumi was actually cured! Whether it was luck or expertise, Dr. Ortiz is our hero for today! Highly recommend the practice.

The staff at Fresh Pond Animal Hospital is top-notch, and everyone there acts with love and compassion to both animals and their humans. The waiting area is clean (and free coffee is available, for humans, of course), and they put out the names of the animals to be seen that day. Entering/exiting the lot can be tricky, as it's a 2-lane, high-traffic area. Simcoe, our ~4 year-old dog, gives it 5 paws.

We have had nothing but positive experiences with Fresh Pond. Their doctors and staff really care about our pets. The best thing is that they take the time to fully explain whatever it is they are doing - be it a diagnosis, treatment options, or procedures. Our main experience is with Dr. Brault - he takes great care to explain all of our options and he actively engages us with all of our questions. I highly recommend Fresh Pond Animal Hospital!

I've read a lot of complaint about this place but every time I've dealt with them I have been pleased. I haven't noticed the price gouging mentioned in other review but then when it comes to the health of my dog the cost usually isn't the first thing I think about. We have been visiting the FPAH regularly for 6 years now and will continue to do so.

I will update after second visit and price. but first visit here, Dr cazabon very friendly and attentive. Very sweet towards my bichon . Staff attentive when I walked into office. Not e demeanor on everyone so far. Clean facility.
