I have been using New England Animal Hospital since Dr. Lemlin opened the hospital. Everyone employed by New England Animal Hospital is very compassionate and caring. I find the prices very reasonable for such a high tech profession. I always get a return phone call by the doctor himself to check on mt pets recovery. Not even a Primary Care Physician does that for human beings. I give Dr. Lemlin and his staff 5 stars plus. Sincerely, Gwendolyn Lemieux

if you get into the office and actually see a veterinarian, it's not bad. but anything on the phone is a disaster. workers are impatient and act like you're bothering them by calling. and they'll usually promise that "someone will call you back by the end of the day." but they never do. when my cat was having problems with new prescribed food, I tried for 6 days to reach the doctor, or SOMEONE who could help. no luck. tried for 3 more days to reach the office manager, who wouldn't return my call. finally I reached her on the phone, she didn't care and blew me off with "I'll tell the owners you called." finally, I ditched the place & went somewhere else. so should you.

Pretty much what every other reviewer has said. I brought our cat here and discovered she has asthma (Dr. Lord). They were very nice and have very good 'bedside manner'. Caring and thorough. On my initial visit I was in a panic and didn't have much money or a pet carrier, and had never been to a vet before. The doctor *waved the fees*, saved our cat, and let us borrow a carrier ("return it whenever you want" they said). It was such a relief because during that emergency I was very stressed and the manner by which they handled the situation alleviated all my frustrations - right down to the bill. I would highly highly recommend this place to anyone in the area. You leave there feeling good and they treat your pet like a rockstar. Now I leave tips whenever I go there because what they did for me was atypical, unexpected, and sincerely appreciated. The staff at New England Animal Hospital is just amazing. Simply amazing. Excellence tends to itself and this business will be around for a long time.

New England Animal Hospital in my opinion is probably the best hospital in the area, all of the staff is always friendly and knowledgable, the prices are competative and it is always clean. My pets love going there, I have never seen dogs so willing to go to the vet :). They are always accomadating when I need an appointment. The review below is unfortunate but It is a business and you shouldn't expect them to bill you, would you go to the grocery store and expect to be billed for your purchase if you couldn't afford it? Pets are a luxery and you shouldn't own them if you can't afford them... Dr Dagenais is a very caring and compassionate Dr. and I can't imagine him not doing all he could to help an animal. I have been to some of the local hospitals and would reccomend this one overall :)

I do NOT recommend this vet hospital to ANYONE. They have denied emergency care to a pet of mine because of a small previous unpaid bill BUT payments were still being made, they just wanted the bill completely paid off. You CANNOT deny emergency care to a pet, I told them I will pay for this cats visit and make a payment on the unpaid bill to get it almost completely paid off- I was still told "no we cannot see her." The secretaries there are rude, and don't care about people or animals at all except for Peg, she is the only decent person there who actually cares. The vets failed to provide proper and correct care to a cat of mine who had to be put down because he had cancer that spread and went unnoticed. My cat was first diagnosed with cancer in 2009, but was never rechecked, no tests were ever run to make sure he was beating it, or to see if it had came back. We kept bringing my cat almost every month to either get a steroid shot or to try new pills for his breathing but nothing ever worked. We were always told try this medicine or up the dosage. This is the same vet my cat had seen since he was a kitten too. The only good thing this vet did was remove the cancerous tumor from his face immediately but still never suggested any x-rays or any other type of testing at any other time. Had we known about this ahead of time we would have done anything to get him proper treatment. For years my cat was suffering when the vet said he had a good quality of life. The day my cat had to be put down he went 20 hours without eating or drinking, did not go to the bathroom, was throwing up bile for 6 hours, could not walk, barely could breathe, and did not move from under my desk until it was time to take him to the emergency vet. If that's a good quality of life to New England - shame on them because I know that is not a good quality of life in my book. I saw the x-rays of my cats' chest and the cancer was spread and his chest was covered with cancer. All these years the cancer was the issue, he was taking medicine that he did not need. This place only cares about money; anything to make a buck is what they want. My family and I will never be returning to New England, ever again. We put 110% of our trust in them and they ruined in. We've had family members go there for many, many years and I am disgusted with them.
