We had to put our family dog down after 16 years. The staff were so accommodating, gentle, compassionate, understanding, patient, and kind. They made it easier to let go of our great friend. I knew the prices up front and there were no surprises. We asked for him to be placed in a box so that we can bury him in the back yard, they even went as far as making a flower out of gauze and taped it to the box. A couple of weeks later they sent us a card giving their condolences, describing our family friend and the time they spent with him, along with the paw imprint we requested. Thank you to the doctor and staff that helped us on this very emotional day.

Brought my kitten there today after he was hit by a car, will never go there again. All they cared about was money waited there for about 3 hours for the doctor too tell me he was okay but she still wanted to take xrays just in case, I asked how much it would cost and she totally ignored me and kept talking, then asked again and she said about 800... Which clearly I did not have at the moment. Also I understand that its an animal hospital, but the rooms they inspect the animals in should be cleaned after each use to prevent infections or diseases.. It was disgustingly filthy, dried piss on the walls, dust and shit all over the floor, balls of fur, and even nasty brown goop on the ceiling. Some of the staff was very nice but this one woman was soo rude, no emotion,or care about anyone or thing... I do not advise this place too anyone...

Brought my sick 17 year old cat, all they talked about was money and how they needed it up front, $1500 to possibly save her, later that was dropped to $750...up front. I begged them to bill me to the following Wednesday(payday) three days away. They didn't, blamed it on too many people screwing them over. In the end, I made the decision to let her go, I only asked for an inkpad and a piece of paper to take a paw print. They promised me a paw print in clay as part of the euthanasia and cremation costs. For four weeks, I made a payment towards the balance, each time asking about the paw prints, each time a different person told me that they were there and I could pick them up. Towards my last payment, I asked about the paw prints, they told me that they didn't have them. There is nothing humane about this place. It is a corporation that is only after the dollar.

Brought in my dog because he was having problems walking, was in pain, and acting very sick. The vet we saw was extremely arrogant, and instantly decided the problem was muscle atrophie. Even though there were a number of other symptoms that clearly made it not a muscle problem, he refused to listen to a word we said. We had friends with a dog who had similar symptoms to ours who was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder, and when we brought it up with the vet at VCA, he just waved us off and did nothing. After spending literally over a thousand dollars for 3 visits to VCA where they did absolutely nothing, (maybe one urine test) we took the dog to a different vet who immediately diagnosed the problem as an autoimmune disorder. Unfortunately by that time it was too late and my dog died. Also, they wanted over $500 to spay a 10lbs dog. They are the worst.

My dog was sprawled on the cold cement floor for three hours and nothing was done with her. She was breathing heavily and couldn't move because her limbs gave out. They were forcing me to pay $2,000 up front or my dog wouldn't get treated unless the full amount was paid. I obviously didn't have that much money (I think I only had $50 on my debit card), so I brought her home and treated her myself. My dog had lyme disease.
