I have been in the market for a new vet for quite some time. After moving to Stoughton I asked a couple of my clients for their recommendations - and they had nothing but good things to say about Lloyds. It was then I decided that I was going to make them my dog's primary. Tuesday 10/7/14 I had an emergency with my dog and up until this point I had not yet contacted Lloyds to switch her over. I called them around 7:45 AM and explained what was going on - they quickly scheduled me for 9:00 AM. When I arrived the clinic was very clean, updated and the staff was extremely warm and inviting. I had a simple form to fill out and handed them her vet records. I was in the exam room having my dog weighed exactly at 9:00 AM, no waiting which was great!! The vet decided that since my dog was still active, eating and drinking, that it was best for us to take a conservative approach. I had to applaud her for not pushing ultrasounds, x-rays, etc. when they were not urgent. We chose to send out a fecal sample and put her on antibiotics and probiotics for one week, then re-evaluate (unless of course her conditioned worsened). When it came time to check out, the bill was much less than I expected. They charged me a regular visit vs an emergency which was extremely helpful and surprising. In total the visit, fecal testing, and two medications cost me $140. I have peace of mind, a happy wallet, and my dog is already showing improvements! I am extremely happy with Lloyd's Animal Medical Center and have already recommended them to my other clients. It is so wonderful to walk into a clean and friendly veterinary office and not feel like they are trying to rob me.

Earlier this week, the time came to put my cat to sleep. Obviously, this was very difficult. As soon as I walked into the waiting room of Lloyd's, the reception ladies saw my emotional state and went into action. I was escorted into a comfortable room, where my Lilly would spend her remaining time. The tech, Lori, was very understanding, sympathetic and compassionate. I could not have asked for more. The procedure didn't take long. Lilly died peacefully in her sleep. We were given the opportunity to stay with her before, during and after. Should I ever get another pet, Lloyd Animal Medical Center will be my first choice. I couldn't be more appreciative of their service.

Called around they quoted me the procedure would cost $350 and tops around $500. Well they were the least expensive in the area so i set an appointment for the surgery. Now the morning of the surgery we take our dog in and they examine and then give me a paper which now says the price for the services is from $650-850. I am already there my dog is in pain i was not going to search around for another vet. The end bill $788.00.

What a JOKE!! Be warned anyone that might consider using Lloyd for there animals. I can only conclude that there business practice is to adminstor services without telling you the pricing. Then they demand that you pay the inflated prices rates that they are trying to charge you. I think that it is only fair that you know how much your services are going to be before the perform. I WOULD NOT go there. Even if you are specific with what you would like done they are still going to do as they please and charge you what ever they see fit. STAY AWAY.

I will not be going to Lloyd anymore. For starters, they are extremely expensive (cost me $320 for my dogs annual, I went to a different place and it cost $150 for the same exact service). Secondly, every time I have gone there they have tried to make me get stuff I don't need. For example when I brought my dog in to get her kennel cough, they INSISTED that she needed some other vaccine as well. I called 3 different kennels and all of them said they did not require it. When I told them I wanted to order my dogs heart worm from 1800PetMeds they gave me attitude and tried to scare me into not getting her heart worm from another source because it is "dangerous". Well my dog is 13 years old and has never had any problems from her 1800PetMeds heart worm. I have talked to numerous vets who see no harm in getting heartworm from online pet pharmacies, which leads me to believe that Lloyd is just a money hungry vet practice. Their heartworm would've cost me $50 more, which could've bought me a big bag of Wellness CORE. I would rather do my business with a practice that cares more about my dogs health rather than running my wallet dry.
