My cat, which has been under the care of Annapolis Cat Hospital, just threw up what looks like a roundworm. Needless to say I am irritated, given that Annapolis Cat Hospital has treated her and declared her free of worms. Now I also have a kitten, and likely he has the worms as well now. Annapolis Cat Hospital did not treat in a series for roundworms, as I have read online that they should do. When I then called and asked asked them they said they think worming for roundworms once with Drontal is fine. I realize my cat could have become reinfected from something in the environment in my apartment. She is a strictly inside only cat, btw. But I have been back to Annapolis Cat Hospital multiple times with my new kitten - why was no follow up done as far as my cat and roundworms? I wonder now if there was a follow up treatment that should have been done. It is very irritating that I will now have to pay money somewhere else to redo work that Annapolis Cat Hospital should have done correctly the first time. I have already moved my kitten to another vet and will very shortly do the same for my cat. Another reason that I switched my kitten to another vet, even before the worm incident tonight, is that my (now former) vet at Annapolis Cat Hospital interrupts me when I am talking or asking questions. That tends to cut off or lead to less than ideal communication. Also, my kitten was not gaining enough weight and Annapolis Cat Hospital just sent me home with no solutions but to wait two weeks. When he soon after developed diarrhea, I felt I had to bring him somewhere that would help me, so I have. And he has received treatment for his diarrhea somewhere else. I feel Annapolis Cat Hospital has treated me like a person with a wallet that opens and gives them money,, and a couple of cute but random cats, and as long as they do the minimum required to treat the cats, then that is ok. I know they must be busy and being a vet must be very difficult, but I think I should have gotten much better. Another note: I noticed that their domain name appears to be expired. They used to have a website and now it just leads to one of those expired domain name pages. I wonder what happened?
