I recently started bringing my Dog Alfie in because Greater Annapolis had the equipment to take care of his needs. They told us what was going on with him and what to expect. They have great bedside manner and really care for your pet like its their own. They stayed on the phone with me for 30mins while I asked questions. I was amazed while sitting in the waiting room at how they knew pets names as they walked in the door. In a time where we needed care for our pet, they made us feel right at home. There prices are compariable to a larger corporation with the feel of a hometown Vet. I will now be bring my dogs to Greater Annapolis. Thank you so much for all you are doing for Alfie. We are greatful!
We have been taking our Golden here for the last year and love it! He is 9 years old, deaf, and on medication for thyroid issues. Greater Annapolis has been great helping us understand everything and keep him healthy. We just rescued a 3 year old Husky and she had her first visit earlier this month. She is not found of the vet but the Dr. and tech were helpful with her anxiety and helping me control both big dogs! Boarding prices are a little steep for the area so we go elsewhere, but will continue to use this office so long as we live in the area.
I am in the Annapolis area for the summer and needed to get my dog a booster shot. The longer she spends in vet buildings the more scared she gets. The vet techs and veterinarian were all very understanding and went above and beyond to try and keep her calm even when she became very feisty. If I were to live here permanently I would not hesitate to choose them as my veterinary hospital.
This is an outstanding veterinary practice and I have high praise for Dr. Elizabeth Daher who has been treating my dogs for nearly a decade. Yes, I am a Northern Virginia resident, and yes I continue to drive to Annapolis so that my animals can receive the kind of care that they deserve and that I was unable to find in my local area. Many times they have been on the cutting edge of knowing about new medications coming on the market and new procedures of which other veterinary practices were unaware. This is a busy practice, but it is clear that the health and well-being of the animals (and their human companions) is their first priority. Never have I felt that they were doing needless tests just to jack up a bill -- an experience I found all too prevalent in the Arlington/Alexandria area. So kudos to GAVH. They do it right.
This is the best Veterinary Hospital I have ever used. We bring all of our cats here now and have had services ranging from routine exams, to thorough screenings, and sadly to the euthanasia of one of our beloved cats. Throughout all of these visits the staff and doctors have been wonderful. Their "bedside manner" is fantastic and they always work hard to find a solution to whatever is ailing our cats. When one of our cats became sick last summer and it became apparent that it was time to let him go, everyone was extremely sensitive and caring during what was a very difficult time for our family, and for that I will forever be grateful. On a less personal note, it is always easy to get an appointment here, often same day, and I have found the rates for all services to be very reasonable, especially when coupled with the level of care given. I can't recommend GAVH enough-they are fantastic and I wouldn't think about going elsewhere.
