I have one dog (5 months at the time of this review) and two cats and I LOOOOVE this place! I have had Banfield Pet insurance (which is fantastic, but a whole different review) for my cats going back several years and until about a year ago, we always had to go to a Banfield clinic inside of a Pet Smart. The care we received there was perfectly fine, but the environment in there was a little chaotic for the cats. Here, at this stand-alone Banfield Pet Clinic in Ellicott City, the scene is serene! It's big and shiny and new and clean. They even have a little play area for kids to "play vet" to include lab coats and stethoscopes. The best part about this location, though, has to be the staff. We receive the warmest welcome when we come, everyone is attentive and loving with my animals, but also very expert with the jobs that they do. The doctors are incredibly thorough and approachable, the nurses are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, and the staff at the front desk is fantastic. I receive reminder calls before the appointment and follow-up calls checking in afterwards just to see how everyone is doing. They are open 7 days a week and far outside my work hours so that I am able to make routine appointments in the evenings without having to take time off work. When I've had to call with a sick animal, they've gotten me in immediately. I hesitate to write such a glowing review as I don't want this place to get too crowded - but I know they could handle it. Besides, I value online reviews so much and it's just too great a place not to share.
