I have been going to Family Vet for years. Not only were they conveniently located near my house, but they have always been flexible about working me in during an emergency. They have always been gracious and provide excellent customer service even though my cat hates them. Yes, he hates them. No matter how nasty he is they have never told us not to come back - they laugh it off and I appreciate it.

Dr. Yates and the staff at Family Veterinary Clinic are the BEST we have found in the Bowie area. In conjunction with the amazing emergency pet hospital in Bowie, they have transformed the life of our asthmatic cat who recently suffered a collapsed lung. She behaves like a healthy, active cat now. We have been amazed at the expert care, the sensible approach, and affordable fees of the Family Veterinary Clinic! We are so happy to have found them!

Family Vet Clinic is Great. The facility is clean, looks more like a home then a business and doesn't smell like a Vet office, so my cat has done Much better here. Before she would get upset just walking in the door of a regular vet. The staff are very knowledgeable, pleasant and took the time to explain issues.

We adopted a cat and brought her in with very little knowledge of the cat's background. The vets were very helpful in checking her out and making sure she got a good baseline. They were very pet and human friendly.

I have been going to Family Vet Clinic for 9 years now with 1 cat and 4 dogs and love them! They are very trusting and friendly and explain everything to you and give you options to help you decide your animal's treatment. I even had to take my dog to the emergency vet one time over the weekend and I'm guessing they sent my dog's records to Family Vet because 1st thing Monday morning Family Vet called me asking how my dog was doing and if I had any questions for them over the issue. I also had a dog that, after recently adopting, was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Dr Yates was so helpful during that time looking at different treatment options and discussing all our possibilities. When it came time to euthanize him, they set up the exam room very nicely and let us stay in there as long as we wished afterwards. They didn't even force me to pay the bill that day because of the high emotions of the situation and they also did a nice paw print memorial that I didn't even know they did until afterwards. The clinic also had all the employees sign a nice card for us and mailed it to us. I would recommend anyone to Family Vet Clinic. I have had nothing but great experiences out of them over the past 9 years and I will continue to take all my animals to them.
