We've been going to Norbeck for 17 years, since the Dr. Mancino days and I can honestly say that there has been no drop-off in quality during the transition to Dr. Castellanos' team. Everyone is ultra-friendly and I've yet to encounter any issues with misdiagnoses, lack of knowledge or reach-ability.

I have to disagree with last post Dr Castellano is a wonderful vet who treated my cat with love and respect to the point my daughter dubbed him the cat whisper as Phoebe did not like males and she loved him she went through four other vets who could not get near her. The whole staff gets 5 stars have been going for 2 years glad I found them

Dr. Castellanos is just excellent and worked so well with our two border collies. He understands how to work with animals, gets down on their level and can keep them from being afraid. He explains diagnoses and care well and always was thorough. Would strongly recommend Norbeck Animal Clinic for wonderful veterinary care and fair pricing.

I cannot give this place negative stars, or I would. The only saving grace of the place is that the front office of Crystal and the other ladies up front are really sweet people and Dr. Nathan Werhli is good man with the best of intentions. However, if you have a cat that is ill, please do not take him/her there. I beg of you. Dr. Ivanov Castellanos may be good with dogs, but he is an arrogant, aggressive man when it comes to cats. He does not care for them at all and is dismissive of them and those who care for them. He falsely diagnosed my cat with a food allergy. Rather, my pet had severe kidney and heart issues that went untreated for 2 months while it was insisted to me that he was fine and was treatable with a change in diet. I beg of anyone out there with a cat to NOT go to Norbeck Animal Clinic if you have any issues with your pet other than simple vaccinations.

The entire staff at Norbeck is Excellent. I drive all the way from Bowie, MD around the beltway to bring by Shih Tzu to Norbeck for all of his needs, including dental at reasonable rates. Dr. Castellanos is friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. I HIGHLY recommend Norbeck to any pet lover in the DMV area.
