We have been taking our Great Danes to Dr. Wing for almost 20 years. He has always been excellent with them and their care. He is the only vet in the area that seems comfortable with the large dogs. We have always recommended him to other people.

Dr. Wing prescribed Proin for my 11-yr old dog's incontinence on the same day that he advised me to put her on a protein-restricted diet for chronic kidney failure. He didn't tell me that the drug could destroy what remained her already compromised kidney function, or that it could harm her heart. He also didn't recommend a recheck of her blood tests. After she collapsed and we discovered her kidneys were shutting down and she was in congestive heart failure, he told us to "put her down." When I researched Proin, I discovered that the FDA warning clearly tells vets of the dangers. Because of Dr. Wing's lack of care or concern, I lost my beautiful, sweet girl and she suffered needlessly. I feel so guilty -- she trusted me to watch out for her and I failed her miserably by putting my trust in this vet. If I had been told about the risks, I would have gladly wiped up a 100,000 pee puddles rather than shorten her life. When I told Dr. Wing I believed the Proin was to blame, he said that it wasn't the cause. The FDA disagrees. Competent care? You be the judge.

Best vet I ever had, reasonable rates and great with animals.

I firmly believe that most people don't think to go online and rate a business unless they've had a poor experience, therefore I would take poor reviews with a grain of salt. With that being said, I bring my cat and dog to Dr. Wing, and I've found him to be very knowledgeable, courteous, and quite fairly priced. The only issue is he seems to overbook appointments so be prepared to sit in the waiting room for 30 minutes - 1 hour.

Dr. Wing has exhibited several poor standards of care with several different cases. While his prices are low, his practice is very poor. If you love and care about your pets do not bring them here.
