By far the best veterinary practice I have ever been to. Dr. Hanks genuinely cares about his patients and their owners. When my cat was ill he contacted me every day, including weekends to get updates, and give advice and encouragement. My other cat is extremely difficult at the vet and he is always kind, patient, and loving with her. Even when she's trying to claw his face off. In addition he has surrounded himself with a staff who is as caring and kind as he is. If I ever leave the area I will be hard-pressed to find a vet practice I love as much as this one.

Our dogs are extremely important to us and no one cares more than Dr. Hanks and the folks at Kindred Spirits! One of our dogs had life-long health problems (allergies, laxated patella, seizures, congestive heart failure--you name it, he had it!) and Dr. Hanks was there to advise us at every step along the way. On one of the several occasions that our dog was at the Emergency Clinic, Dr. Hanks drove over on his day off to check on the little guy. And when we had done all we could, Dr. Hanks was there to come to our house and help us give him a humane and gentle goodbye. If Kindred Spirits is not taking new clients, it is simply because they are dedicated to providing each animal in their care with the time needed to ensure they receive the best treatment possible. If I could give 5000 stars I would!

I was recommended to go to Dr. Hanks clinic because he was interested in holistic care of the pet and I am feeding a BARF diet and have one epileptic lab. However, when I called they said they were not interested and they only take "referrals," meaning someone who already goes there. They needed to "input" the information in the computer and couldn't just see anyone. ????
