My experience at River Road Veterinary Hospital was subpar: My 10 year-old female cat was being seen for an injured leg. The veterinarian and one of the female veterinarian technicians were unprofessional. Upon asking them the pros and cons of getting x-rays (the cons mainly being the ~$300 cost for the x-ray + sedation) and whether or not I should put on a splint at home, I was laughed at. In addition to this, I overheard them mocking me outside of the examining room. The wait for the x-ray was two full hours. Upon leaving the hospital with a prescription, I was not given instruction on how to administer the medication nor was I told what to expect or what steps to take in the following days to care for my cat. That being said, the environment at the hospital was overall a friendly one, the examining rooms were relatively clean, and all staff, other than the aforementioned, were pleasant.

They are amazing here! Everyone goes above and beyond, from bringing water for our dog to calling around to the pharmacies to see who had the cheapest prescriptions. This was our first visit and I am excited to bring the rest of my boys here.

The staff here is fantastic! They make you feel very welcome and comfortable. Overpriced, maybe, but you get what you pay for. I feel very confident when I take my pets into this office they will be taken care of in a fast professional manner. This is the best in the area and I will confidently refer anyone who loves their pets to take them here.

Dr. Carter has been my veterinarian for all of our pets (dogs, cats, guinea pigs, chinchillas, rabbits, and birds) since 1997. There is no one else that I trust more with the care of our furred and feathered family members!
