I went to this clinic with some devastating news about my 4 year old dog. I was overwhelmed with lots of information that was presented to me and the cost of all of the options took me my surprise. We ended up going for a second opinion and the cost savings was significant.
We took our four year old here after receiving a cancer diagnosis. The front staff was very friendly but the dr. was "all business" She told us the facts and then left our questions to be answered by the Vet Tech - who by the way was nice. We had to have a test done on our dog before proceeding with the treatment and when we hadn't received results we called to find out they lost the test. We went to another clinic for a second opinion and found them to be much less expensive
Dr. Obradovich is a good oncologist, however, she makes irresponsible 'wait and see' recommendations (as do many veterinary doctors, so beware). As a result it cost my dog Lucy her life. When you take your dog in to see the doctor because she collapsed after a short walk, you run every test you can to ensure that cancer has not reoccurred, and the test results are all negative, there's still a reason the dog collapsed. Recommending that 'if it happens again take her to see a veterinary cardiologist' is a poor and dangerous recommendation. I was stupid enough to take her advice. I should have taken Lucy to a cardiologist immediately. I will always regret that. Lucy died suddently of heart failure 4 1/2 months after our appointment with Dr. Obradovich. And Dr. Obradovich didn't even bother to include the cardiologist recommendation in her report.
I cannot say enough about the staff here. My six month old puppy had very aggressive cancer and her life was saved by them. Every person we encountered was extremely knowledgeable, kind, compassionate, and helpful. I feel as if I had taken her anywhere else, she would not be with us today. I would HIGHLY recommend this hospital to anyone dealing with their pet's cancer, they genuinely care about every single animal that comes in.
You could not ask for a more caring staff. They were so helpful, understanding & compassionate. The doctor was very upfront & honest about what needed to be looked at in order to assess the full scope of what needed to be done & then went from there, regarding treatment. My male, 12 year old, red haired Doberman Pinscher has metastasized Anal Gland Adenocarcinoma & lung cancer. So no cancer treatment would help him. We'll make him comfortable and put him down humanely when the time comes.
