Blue Pearl is a top notch facility. They saved my dog's life. I found them to be compassionate and caring. They were up front with a quote before proceeding with any service. They called me daily with status updates on my dog. They explained everything extremely thoroughly. They have expertise in every area. I was confident she was in the best hands possible and completely trusted them to save her. If they weren't an hour away, they would be my first choice for a vet.
My experience was worth the financial cost if the following cautionary tale even saves one pet owner the trouble and misery of dealing with this place. The short of it: Avoid Blue Pearl at all costs unless your pet has a clear an easily diagnosable condition. You don't mind dealing with cold and indifferent veterinarians who won't meet with you to discuss symptoms prior to examination and refuse to give you lower cost alternatives for diagnoses and care. You don't mind having the terms of service changed and if you are also alright with being separated from your animal and staying in the waiting room while your pet is being 'looked at'. Wait a second...... hold the funking phone dear consumer, that shouldn't sound right to you because they are the classic signs of a scam. Friendly confidence woman who does your intake and gets you to lower your guard when you are already vulnerable? Check. Shady impersonable care provider who refuses to meet with you and shake your hand? Check. Won't let you see their work? Check. Generally evasive, vague, makes excuses and refuses to accommodate and address your concerns when you finally get to meet them? Check. Makes suggestions for testing and treatment not related to condition being seen for? Check. Reinterprets conditions of contract? Check. This has scam written all over it. On to specifics: Took my pet in here for extreme lethargy, unresponsive behavior, loss of appetite, vomiting, inability to pass urine or make a bowel movement. Vet assistant who did intake was cordial and thorough but that's where any semblance of courteous or professional behavior ended. My animal becomes really nervous and scared without me in strange places like vet offices, and they were already sick so it's an incredibly frightening and stressful experience for them. So I asked if I could go back with them to the exam room to help reassure and keep them calm and to answer questions about their symptoms and behavior. In turn, I was told to wait in the lobby and like a good unthinking patron (mark) I did as I was told. Buzzers and alarms in my head start going off, I overlook this and chalk it up to, "its late, they're short staffed and they can't watch to make sure I'm not up to anything, etc...." My friends, this should've been a huge red flag to me or any of you and I should've run from this place screaming immediately with my pet in tow. How the hell do we even know they bothered to do an exam if we can't be present for it? It's a scam Sam, that's why. No decent and reputable place would ever separate you from your fur family during an exam no matter what, shame on you and your shady practices Blue Pearl. From one internet stranger to the next, best of health and luck to you and your pet if you are reading this in a time of need, I know how hard it is and my heart truly goes out to you. *hugs*
If you do not mind throwing money away and not receiving a professional veterinarian service choose Blue Pearl Veterinary Partners. After three hours of getting no answers from their vet and receiving an outrageous quote and feeling my best friend was not going to get the care she needed I removed her from Blue Pearl Veterinary care. Unfortunately my best friend suffered longer than she needed due delayed care. Upon contacting my vet and having only 15 minutes of time pass before a confirmation came of Leukemia, which was produced by a quick test, which could have been tested right at Blue Pearl Veterinary. The information which notifies not only the care giver or other veterinarians was very vague, the information should have included the pets vital information and nothing was provided, for later diagnosis. I would not recommend this business to anyone; Save your pet and yourself the time and hardship involved in dealing this business.
These people are only here to take your $. Surgeries, X-rays etc that cost double at other practices. They don't give a crap if you don't have the money. No money=dead pet. Thanks guys for the experience Response: I will not argue this further after I make a few points. That's great you have so many talented doctors available. Yet when they spoke about surgery no body at the facility had that talent and to my understanding, one ( a doctor) would not be available until the next day. I will repeat myself here again about the costs. While there, my wife was calling other vet clinics and informing them of the decisions which might be made. When asked about cost, yes Blue Pearl is out of the ballpark. Not to mention other hospitals were willing to work with us financially. I guess maybe its all the specialized doctors you have on staff that increases your operating costs. I called our family vet the next day, we got care over the phone just by answering a few questions which resulted in a successful outcome. Our family vet does not have the resources you have, yet they seemed more knowledgeable in determining the signs of the animal. I was able to speak to two separate vets Thursday and both gave me the same answer as my family vet the following day. Unfortunately the only place I did not receive this specific answer was at Blue Pearl. Thank you for attention to this matter but again I feel the issue is closed as I and others now know what is more important at your office.
Do not bother. What a waste of money. They don't care about your pets. Charged me $1000 and didn't even bother to call with test results. Provided no info that I didn't already know when I walked in. They have never checked on her or cared why I didn't ask to refill her prescription. Complete waste.
