OMG never have I felt so good about a facility as I do about Blue Pearl. They put the PATIENT first and their needs are met before dealing with anything else. The ENTIRE staff is loving, compassionate, caring, and friendly. We went to another specialist first located in Canton and the first thing the doctor said when walking in was to MUZZLE my dog - he happens to be a therapy dog and that option was out of the question. When we walked into Blue Pearl the first thing the doctor did was walk in and play with my dog - right there I knew I was going to be comfortable. Our dog is in very good hands here at Blue Pearl and he actually enjoys his visits. We have never felt that we are being GOUGED for money as they explain everything in advance and they understand not everyone has unlimited funds. I would STRONGLY urge you to take your pet to BluePearl Veterinary clinic
My husband and I took our dog Macie here after she began showing strange neurological symptoms (after running into a wall, nightstand, lamp and several other things in the room). The vet looked at Macie and let us know that her physical exam was completely normal other than a large bruise under her right eye. She then told us the three most likely things that could be wrong and her opinion. The best explanation for her symptoms was that she must have been having a bad dream or got spooked, ran into the wall/nightstand and hit her head hard enough to cause neurological symptoms. I was very pleased with the vet and the tech that we saw. They were both friendly and seemed to genuinely want to help. I also did not feel pressured to pay for extra tests. They could have easily recommended a long list of tests, but instead we walked out of there just paying for the exam fee. The vet told me that if it was her dog, she would watch her carefully at home and being her back if she showed any neurological symptoms. Hopefully this won't happen again, but I would definitely go back there for in an emergency!
Dr Kerstetter and Dr. Kozcki are AMAZING. They took my dogs needs first and understood we had come from another clinic where we had a very negative experience. Both drs. are not only specialists, they are caring, compassionate, patient, understanding etc. I cant say enough good things about them. BUT it doesn't stop there . The entire staff CARES about their patients and every time we walk in the door they greet my dog by name. We went to a specialty clinic in Canton and we felt like all they were interested in was how much money they can collect from us and how fast they can book another test, procedure, appointment. The staff at Blue Pearl is all about meeting our dogs needs first, and addressing our wants afterwards. We NEVER feel rushed with the doctors - they actually return my phone calls directly - whereas at the "other" clinic its a med tech that calls back! I would recommend Blue Pearl for you and your four legged friend ANYTIME - if you have to drive a distance like I do to get there - it is WELL worth it
I brought my dog here when he was sick, they kept him for 5 days basically did nothing but tests then charge me a huge amount of money. They diagnosed him with leukemia and told me to make an appt with my vet to have him put down. My husband called and made that appt for the following day. I just couldn't allow that to happen. I told my husband the dog was not ready to die and I wouldn't let him keep the appt. The dog was 8 years old when that happened and he just passed this year at the ripe old age of 17 1/2! Don't always believe what they tell you. If we had taken the dog and followed their instruction to have him put down, we never would have know any better and all those additional years of joy would have been lost.
Stay far away from this place! They don't care at all about you or your pet. The only thing they care about is your money. My dog was attacked by another animal and I was told that it would cost over $8000 for stiches and care for 2 days. I told them, I could not afford it and could they keep him overnight until I could find another, more reasonable vet in the morning. I was told that it would not be a problem. I received a call at night saying he needed an $800 blood transfusion or he would not survive the night. I told them to give it to him. In the morning I tried to find another vet and during that time, I received a phone call stating my dog had passed away. They told me the cause was because bacteria entered the wound. When I went to say my final goodbye to my doggie, I was led into the room and told I needed to handle the $3000 bill that did not include the dog's cremation (that was another $300). After I paid them the money, they wheeled my dog in and he was filthy!!!! They made no attempt to clean him off or anything (no wonder bacteria got into his wound and he died). I also want to mention that the doctor was cold as ice through the entire incident. Not once, did she show a single sign of emotion or compassion though-out the entire incident. I called upper management to have them investigate this matter and I was told that my dog was given a sponge bath and that the doctor is a very compassionate person. THIS IS A TOTAL LIE!!! There is no way my dog was given a bath! After I got done petting him, my hand smelled so bad it was ridiculous. Long story short, stay far away from this place! I was told by someone else that this place rips people off, but I was in a bind so I had to go. And my dog has paid the price for me not listening. Try going to ACE in Novi if you have an emergency. I took my dog there a few years ago and they were very reasonable. I only wish I would have taken my dog there in the first place.
