We have taken all of our rescued pets there without any of the incidents described. The staff has always been professional and courteous and have LISTENED to me with my concerns, esp with my bounceback pets (the ones that people adopt that they can't keep and would get euthanized if they were returned to MHS or the local shelter).
Im not bla ing them for me having no money, I Just wish they were the same practice now that they were when they first moved into our community, and they're not..so i have mixed feelings.. and a rescued kitten that I will have to drop off somewhere..when 4 years ago even they would have helped me out since I rescued the poor sick thing.. first to Wendy, Im an LVT, I haven't practiced in ears however, shaving a leg for a vein is not a must, and shaved or not, some veins roll and are just hard to get, so do not blame that on they didnt shave you're dog.. with that said, I rescued a kitten, at the MHS did you know there is a 3 to 1 ratio of cats vs dogs cats heavily outweighing, so when i rescued this animal, so ill from so many fleas it even had animea they gave it capstar, then i bathed it then, the drops on his back sprayed the living area and ban no fleas..BUT I wish they would have a running spay neuter program it is not any cheaper than a regular vet, and I could have left this kitten that surely would have died on the road, but, i didn't and honestly sometimes people who try and do the right thing should be rewarded. I went ot get its shots but because the 8 weeks old kitten wasnt fixed, id have to pay 10 dollars more which would go towards the fixing of the animal however, When you dont have extra money and your kid has special needs and needs 135 dollar meds, you have to choose, as a result the cat has no shots and its a male so I will have to surrender it somewhere b4 it sprays all over my house, i have a dog female 6 pounds so more than the cat, and harder to "fix" spay , it cost me 20 dollars but the kitten would have been over 50.. imo it appears the more people use them, the more the prices go up. I think for events , whichs what im hoping for( will happen before i have to make this sweet indoor kityy and out door one or get rid of it.) are great, but it leaves me to wonder f thats not why its more expensive when you go into their office? Also the guy/girl whose dog got fleas, if it really was because of the place, i cant believe you didnt think abut the volume of animals in and out every day and keep yours outside until it was time.. I kept the kitten outside until they could draw blood for a feline leukemia test and then put it back in the car,.. I do know if this FLV negative kitten at anytime before i can get his vaccines comes back positive , They will try and blame me, when this cat has never so much as smelled the outside air. Plus we live on the 2nd floor so no cat contact ever!1 I do agree about some of the customer service not everyone but, some make me feel guilty for not being able to afford a stray.. oh bTW if i would have ignored this tiny cat, i could have went to them spent 50 bucks and got an 8 week old kitten spayed, shots and microchipped, knowing this and then knowing that If I try the same with a stray i found which has already 75 bucks, no shots either.. it will cost me over 200 dollars, why would anyone do this? If you want to help our community, then let us pay 50 dollars for a rescued animal and get the same services.. so for 275 dollars i too can have the free cat rescued price.. or I can take it to a regular vet cheaper at least parkview is, Im not crazy about their Vets, which is why i switched but still.. I have mixed feelings . its Saturday, in the beginning I could take a sick animal there, not an er fee, but today i need the stray to have a fecal test, they can NOT see the cat but they'll do the test. 20 dollars...So it went form actually servicing our community to another vet practice but with more volume...at least thats how Im feeling now.. so yes very mixed!!
This place is a ripoff....took my dog in for a flea problem...150 dollars and 10 days later and she has them worse than ever, this is your typical "milk you every chance we get" vet...where they try to get you to come in every month, sorry NOT gonna happen for me! I'll take my dog to a REAL vet who will prescribe the flea pills...not this crap frontline which is WAY too expensive and does NOT work...double thumbs down to this all about animals!
We attended the TRN (trap neuter return class for feral cats) at AAA. The class was well worth the time. We have trapped four feral cats and had them neutered/spayed at AAA. We have also taken our three indoor cats as well as our dog there for wellness shots. I have been 100% satisfied with each visit. Their prices for wellness shots cannot be beat! They charge $25 for micro chips. We paid $48 at a "regular" vet to mico chip our cat. AAA is a wonderful organization!!!
my cat was fixed there third cat i had get fixed with them and this time he came back throwning up a yellow foam and lost to much weight in a weeks time WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN migt i suggest long lake animal hospital they are a bit higher then all about animals but the service is amazing they or if u wanna be a big spending go where i do and see the doctors at parkway animal hospital (we take our rats there)
