I wish I would have found Dr. Switch years ago! I met Dr. Switch under sad circumstances. It was time to put my 13.25 year old Sheltie to sleep. Taking Jesse to the vet was a very stressful event for him; he was terrified of the vet and would need to be muzzled and basically contained by several staff members. My friend Julie, had heard of Dr. Switch who makes home visits and gave me her number. Although it was a terrible day, Dr. Switch made that process easier. That was not an ideal way to meet a vet, but I was very appreciative of her compassion during a sad sad time, and thankful my dog did not need to have his last moments here stressful. It was not long until I found myself taking on a new puppy and I decided to use Dr. Switch as my vet. I really liked the fact she does travel if necessary. My puppy, Mia absolutely adores her and does not want to leave even after she has her shots! Dr. Switch loves animals and has really gone above and beyond to make sure that Mia has had a positive experience. Socialization has been very important to me. The last thing I wanted was another dog fearful of visiting the vets office. Ironically Julie who recommended Dr. Switch had not used her but she recently switched vets. Her 14 year old Lab as it turns out has a thyroid problem and it went undiagnosed by her former vet. Her Lab is doing better now, but Dr. Switch truly wanted to help Jake rather than just blame his problems on old age. Now all of this is great but today really made me glad Dr. Switch is my vet. Today Julie was taking her baby for a walk in her sub. She lives close to the Vets office. Julie saw her neighbor out walking her one Jack Russell terrier and carrying her other one. The woman was hysterical because her dog was just attached by a Pit Bull. My girlfriend Julie called Dr. Switch on a Sunday and Dr. Switch saw the dog immediately. A kind act on a Sunday when her office is closed! My old vet would have sent that person to emergency. Anyway, Julie tells me that the Jack Russell is going to be ok with some minor surgery. I would highly recommend Dr. Switch, she always goes that extra mile for the wellness of your pet.
