Awesome pet center! Always on my list to go and look for dogs. I bought my dog from them 6 years ago and she has changed my life forever. You guys, Keep on doing what your doing. Your doing great! stay awesome!!!!!!

I'm so torn. Want to support MHS, and feel like they're compassionate and provide good care, but it is IMPOSSIBLE to be seen same day or next day if one of my doggies is sick. I called to be seen for an eye infection and they said I'd have to wait for over a week to be seen. REALLY!?!?! My dog's eye has green goop coming out and you think it's reasonable to make him suffer for over a week before being treated! Just now tried to be seen for a cough my baby has had for about a week and seems to be getting worse. Again, can't get in to be seen until end of next week at the earliest. And I was able to come in any time in the afternoon or evening! UNACCEPTABLE. Oh. And if they ask you if you'll hold, tell them NO. You'll be on hold for 10-15 minutes guaranteed.

Last year we found an abandoned pit/boxer puppy (left in garage to die), after a couple days we realized she just wasn't feeling good, displaying signs of fatigue & not eating/drinking. We took her to a local vet where she tested positive for parvo. He wanted $1500 min. & told us if she didnt stay over night our puppy would be dead. We simply couldn't afford that so he reccomended putting her down, which was unacceptable for us.I immediately called the MHS Westland, explained the situation, & although it was very close to their closing time they prepped a room for us & had had us bring her in immediately. They explained it was still only 50/50 shot but showed us how to administer the medication, made payment arrangements with us, and had daily check ups w/ follow ups for over 2 weeks (for 1/2 the price!) The entire staff was supportive, very competent, and a true blessing :) A year later we have the best fur baby ever!!! Thank You Westland MHS!

I adopted 2 cats 7 years ago. I go in to have one of them scanned so I can update their RFID chip records (Humane Society didn't know what company they used at the time and had no record of my cats - rediculous). I go in there with one cat, the next day it has pink-eye. I called and they said "well, yea, if you come in later in the day, the surfaces haven't been scrubbed since the morning". I was like "I have an idea - scrub them more than once a day" and hung up.

Having used a local vet for years my friend referred me to MHS I figured that at least the proffits would go to needy animals. I was supprised by friendly staff and will never go back to the local vet also was literally half the price they even called me a day after the procedure to make sure everything was going well 5 STAR PLUS.
