My dog came in from outside with her eye filled with blood and I had no idea what had happened. My vet office wasn't open for another hour so I looked up emergency vet hospitals and Westland was the only one open. Thank goodness they were. They got her in and the Veterinarian and staff were very nice. She was looked at promptly and they didn't even charge me an office visit even though she had never been there before! I'm so very thankful they were open and very attentive to her. She has a followup appointment and I am very excited to take her back and keep them as my primary vet for her. I cannot thank them enough for being such a fantastic office in my time of need!

When I saw that I had a pet emergency I was very emotional and upset that I couldn't be seen by our reg vet. Like so many others I was searching and reading reviews and getting even more worried about my options. But in truth when people do have a good experience they tend to thank their lucky stars and quickly put it all behind them. This was the only vet that could see me in a timely manor and I have no regrets about that. I was nervous but pleasantly surprised by their familiarity with what was happening to my little sweetie and swift plan of action that resulted in more being taken care of than I'd planned or hoped for. The price tag was lower than that of any other place that had quoted me their basics and/or hypotheticals during my initial search for a vet, better even than the vet I would have seen were they not unavailable. I feel a responsibility to leave the record of a positive experience since my emotions have subsided and my baby is recovering from her major surgery nicely. Overall if you bring good intel for them to interpret about your animal, by being an observant and prompt caretaker, you will get a better experience anywhere you go.

PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS VET!!! I had my cat declawed and his paw is sooo infected it looks like it is going to fall off! At first I was suppose to bring him home 2 days after the surgery, but they only let me take my other cat and said my others cats paw is "swollen and want to keep an eye on it". The following day they wouldn't let me take him and told me to come back three days later. However, that night my other cat was bleeding from the mouth, so I had to rush him into the ER. The following day, I demanded to see my other cat. HIs paw is SOOOO bad, I can't even explain. Only time will tell if it needs to be amputated or if it will heal on its own. Not to mention the new vet told me a cat his size (3.5lbs) should never be on the dosage of meds they had him on; said that should only be given to cats 8+ lbs and could of shut his liver down. PLEASE do not go to this vet. I will send you pictures if you thi post is not convincing enough.

Completely Recommend! Westland Veterinary Hospital is one of the best pet hospital one will ever come across. Not only is she extremely intelligent and good at what she does but also she truly cares about each and every single one of her patients. She takes the time to get to know her patients (something very rare today) and decide on a treatment plan that works best for them. Despite the large amount of animals that come into the Westland Vet Hospital, you never feel as if you are just a number. She remembers every single detail from each visit. Dr. not only performs her job excellently but she goes above and beyond what is expected of her. I am happy to have finally found a veterinarian of whom I completely and utterly trust with the care of my dog.

I have been taking my pets to Westland Veterinary Hospital for many, many years now. I have always been overly satisfied with the kind of treatment and kindness and warmth that the staff gives me and my pets. I have never had any problems with anyone or anything at this graceful, amazing facility. I would never think of taking my animals anywhere else.
