Our cat had to be euthanized ( put down ) it was horrible, First she was taken away. Then without her people catheterized in her leg. we waited in a remember your pet and pay $$$$$$$ to do so room. then she was brought back severely upset and given the kill shot. We could not bury her as winter had frozen our ground. They held her body for us until spring and we received her body in a garbage bag, Years before at another vet we had another cat put down the vet came and gave him one painless shot in the neck he shuddered and went limp dead. This was bad but not horrible he did not needlessly get upset or traumatized.
