When we moved to South Minneapolis from St. Paul about 2 years ago, we knew we needed to find a new vet closer to our new home. I am so lucky to have found Kenwood, and will gladly drive to their location no matter where we move next! Our cat, Karaboo, was 14 when we started bringing her to Kenwood. She was doing well and had some minor issues that required a handful of visits, but her health deteriorated in the past year. Dr. Gordon was amazing with her, and understood our concerns in ensuring Karaboo was comfortable and happy. Karaboo had what most people would consider to be an attitude problem - our friends and family knew to not approach her. Dr. Gordon wasn't phased, and treated Karaboo like we did knowing she was just vocalizing her complaints (without the need for a muzzle unlike other vets!). When Karaboo unexpectedly had a stroke, we took her to an emergency vet and needed to euthanize. Once the staff at Kenwood were notified, we received cards with a note from Karaboo's favorite nurse, Erin, and the rest of the staff. We were so touched by both cards we received - we didn't expect anyone to remember our cat the way we did. When we chose to adopt a new feline friend, Maro, we brought her in for a respiratory issue. Dr. Jones passed along a message from nurse Erin expressing condolences for our loss, and other staff members talked to us about how they remembered her. Maro was examined and after leaving, my boyfriend and I couldn't stop talking about how glad we were to find such amazing people at Kenwood the whole drive home! They treat veterinary care like I expect to be treated when I visit a doctor, and every staff member I speak with genuinely cares about the well-being of my pets. I highly recommend Kenwood to all of my pet parent friends and family, and don't know what I would do without them!

I had a great experience Kenwood Pet Clinic. The veterinarian was very informative and happily answered all my questions. Their hours are great for working professional and they were right on time for the visit.

From the time I walked in......I felt like all of the staff at Kenwood Pet Clinic cared about my siamese cat Sam just as much as I do. I have been to several other clinics and it is often a questionable experience. I have often felt like another number moving through the vet's schedule during a given day. In and out. Here, I felt Sam was very secure with everyone from the woman who greeted me when I entered, to the assistants that were talking to him like a person, to the wonderful Dr. Rachel Jones. She even followed up with me twice to make sure Sam was feeling good after the visit. Sam had dealt with a peeing problem the night before and I had to take him to the ER. I don't know if people in the animal ER are de-sensitized to all the drama that they must face ( a tough job obviously ), but again - I felt like another number coming through.....and an expensive one in that situation. I heard Sam crying in the treatment area in the ER and I had a very hard time with it. I have honestly never been so worried about anything in my life. I am sure if I become a parent one day that will change...I digress. Sam ended up being ok and I don't mean to negatively talk about the animal ER as that is not the point of this review. The point of the story is at Kenwood Pet Clinic, we decided to take a urine sample from Sam to test it for a bacterial infection and I heard him howling in the background, but I did not feel an ounce of worry knowing the people he was with. I have since recommended this place to other people and will continue into the future. Some businesses just don't get it. People want to feel special and even more with our pets. Kenwood Pet Clinic gets it. I don't ever write reviews, but the experience here was so good that I have to. If you want to take the best care of your pet.... Bring them here.

While I don't have children, I feel like a "proud mama" whenever I bring my cat into Kenwood Pet Clinic. You can tell that the entire staff love their jobs and love working with animals. They are open later some weekdays to accommodate those of us who work longer hours and there is little to no wait to get me in to the examination room once I get there. I would never consider going to another clinic after experiencing the exceptional care of my pet at Kenwood.

AMAZING! Not only are the flexible with you on scheduling but the doctors and staff are extremely attentive to your pets needs and any concerns you may ever have. Offering to answer emails and phone calls whenever and do a double check with any little concerns even when its just a overly worried pet owner. I love this clinic and would recommend them to anyone.
