This animal hospital was sketchy to me. I did not like how they interacted with my dogs. They confused my dogs and administered a series of the wrongs shots to them. This is very disconcerting because one of my dogs has allergies to a certain type of shot. I felt that their services were overpriced. I also felt that they pressured me into a vaccine for my dogs that I was not educated about nor did they speak of pricing to me. When scheduling for booster shots months in advance, they scheduled the wrong date in which the booster would not be effective. They tried to do a last minute change in which I was unable to make work with such short notice. All-in-all I feel that this business takes advantage of pet owners because of their location and integration into the community. I felt that the doctor administering the vaccines to my dogs was not genuine and acted as a salesperson. For a business claiming to have such compassionate care, you would expect them to get my dogs names correct to avoid administering the wrong vaccinations. It shows that the staff is not paying attention to documentation and scheduling details as well as acting fake with the animals to try and provide comfort to the owners in order to take advantage of their trust.
First trip to this vet with our new puppy and we will not be back. They were friendly enough but seemed very phony in their overly friendliness. The actual veterinarian spent only about 2.5 minutes with us and didn't seem to do much of an exam. I was also very turned off when they gave the sales pitch for their very expensive "wellness plans". If we weren't leaving for vacation and needed the shots right away, I would have walked out then and there. The prices were also very expensive - I received an estimate for a neuter for $400-$500 which is about $150 higher than Blue Cross Animal Hospital. We will be going back to Blue Cross from now on, where the veterinarian actually spends time in the exam room, providing most of the care and takes time to discuss things with you. And the best part is that Blue Cross doesn't need to sell you a "wellness plan" to get you to come back.
Several years ago I had a male cat with a blocked urethra. They stayed late, saved him, and also saved me a trip to the overnight pet emergency center. I'm forever grateful.
We love MAH. Neighborhood vets, pleasant and caring staff! Keep up the great customer service
I have taken my dog to MAH for years. I have found the vets to be knowledgeable and friendly for the most part. I do feel that there are a couple of vets that are really great like Dr. Stafani. However, the office manager and the front staff are quite rude. Having spent several thousand dollars there after the past few years one would think that the staff could at least be friendly. They are quite rude and we won't be returning! Enough is enough.
